Died. - Mrs. Desire Landry, nee Elizabeth Bernard, aged 72 years, died at her 
home near Youngsville Tuesday, Mar. 21, after an illness of three months. 
Deceased was married in 1860 to Desire Landry, was the mother of six children, 
five of whom survive her: Messrs. Edgar and P. B. Landry, and three daughters, 
Regina, Angella and Elodie. Mrs. Landry was a woman of most estimable 
character and won the hearts of a large circle of friends and acquaintances. 
The funeral took place at Youngsville, Wednesday morning at 9 o'clock and was 
largely attended.
