Alfred Louailler died Wednesday, at the home of his son-in-law, Mr. A. F. Mouton, in Lafayette. Mr. Louaillier, was a native of Opelousas, and was 77 years og age. He was a gentleman of unusually fine attainments, having received a thorough collegiate education. He spoke French and English with great fluency. For a long number of years he was a resident of Washington, St. Landry parish. Of gentle birth and good education, his manners were marked by the gentleness which characterizes the Southern gentleman of the old school. He enjoyed the respect and esteem of all his acquaintances and the love of his family. The remains of Mr. Louaillier were interred in the Catholic cemetery. They were followed to the grave by a large number of friends and relatives.
