Sunday as Mr. Alcide Prejean, about 18 yrs of age, (son of Mr. Sosthene Prejean) was returning horseback from mass at St. Pierre. In company with a few companions, the came across a calf, and thought they would have some fun chancing it. Unfortunately, the calf tangled itself under Mr. Prejean’s horse’s feet, throwing the horse over on top of him and breaking his neck. His father’s family have our sympathy in this unexpected and terrible accident.
