THOMAS WILSON TORIAN, aged 40 years. Mrs. Torian was a son of Mr. Wm. Thorian of this place and spent his youth in Lafayette, where he was generally esteemed for his many fine qualities by a large number of friends who will learn of his death with deep regret. He has been absent from this city about twelve years, being employed as overseer upon different large sugar plantations. The remains were brought to Lafayette on the afternoon train yesterday and the funeral will take place today at 11 a. m. from the residence of his brother-in-law Mr. A. A. Morgan Jr. to the Protestant cemetery. The Advertiser joins the many friends of the family in extending sincere sympathy to the bereaved wife and children and his parents, brothers and sisters.
