To any Clergyman, Judge or Justice of the Peace, acting in and for State and 
Parish aforesaid: Greeting:

You are hereby authorized to celebrate the Marriage Ceremony between PIERRE 
DUGAS and Miss VALERIE VALLET both of the aforesaid Parish & State.  And when 
you will have performed said Ceremony, you will please make due return of your 
proceedings to our said Court, as the law directs, together with this writ.

Witness the Hon. Judge of the 16th Judicial District
Judge of said Court, this 16th day of January A.D. 1879
