Virginia Thibodaux Gravois, daughter of Sadie Mire Thibodaux and the late O.J. 
Thibodaux of Thibodaux, is engaged to marry Joseph Alexis Casse Jr., son of 
Merryll Murphy Casse and the late Joseph Alexis Casse Sr. of Metairie.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Philip and Mamie Hebert 
Thibodaux of Donner and the late Ignace and Cecile Arabie Mire of Thibodaux.

She is a graduate of Thibodaux High School. She is employed by the State of 
Louisiana, Thibodaux Regional Medicaid Office.

The groom is the grandson of Charles and Catherine Manguno Casse, Robert and Iva 
Mae Price Murphy.

He is a 1969 graduate of Archbishop Rummel High School in Metairie, attended the 
College of Santa Fe in New Mexico and received a master's degree in education 
from Nicholls State University.

He is employed by E.D. White Catholic High School.
