Daigle Death of Mrs. Fey The following death notice appeared in last Thursday?s Times-Pic Williams - Fey ^ On Wednesday morning, April 26, 1944 at 12:30 o?clock, Sarah Ann Barker, of 2029 Baronne street, beloved wife by first marriage of the late Peter Fey, and by second marriage of the late Richard Williams, the mother of Mrs. Joseph A. Horidge, Mrs. W.A. Points, Mrs. G. Quade, Mrs. Beulah Fey, Peter J.J. Godfrey Fey, and the late Charles Eros Fey, sister of Mrs. A.B. Dantin, Mrs. J.H. Patin, Mrs. A. Larson, John S., Thomas, James Barker and the late Enos and Albert Barker, survived by nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Funeral took place from the funeral home of Pat J. McMahon-Coburn Company, 2305 Canal Street, corner North Miro, on Thursday afternoon, April 27, 1944, at 2 o?clock. Religious services at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, New Orleans. Interment in Metairie cemetery, New Orleans. It is probable that some of the present population of Thibodaux will not recall Mrs. Peter Fey, but for a number of years she conducted what was known as the Franklin House, which building up to 1926 was owned by the late Mr. Joseph McCulla, sho sold it to Mr. Sylvester Landry, who enlarged and improved the place and then named it Hotel Dixie. We do not know where Mrs. Fey located after giving up the Franklin House, but we suppose she went back to Lockport, where she lived before her marriage to Mr. Fey. She was a estimable person and thus generally made permanent friends of those with whom she was thrown in contact friends who will doubtless learn of her death with profound sorrow. ========================== Thibodaux Comet, May 4, 1944 Submitted by Cynthia F.
