Daigle Ora Celestin Ora Celestin, the daughter of Alma Cook, Thibodaux, died in New Orlean, Tuesday, December 27 at 3:45 a.m. The funeral was held from the late residence, 1200 Bourbon at Thibodaux Thursday afternoon. Religious services were at Ellen Chapel with interment at Baptist cemetery here. She was the sister of Eloise Alexis, Harry Celestin and Moses Cook. ====================================== Thibodaux Comet, Jan. 5, 1950, Thursday Submitted by Cynthia F. Daigle Clovis Guidry Funeral services were held for Clovis L. Guidry, 71 year old husband of Florestein Gervais, who was found dead near his fishing pole on the banks of a stream, near Raceland, Wednesday, December 26. The deceased was found approximately a half hour after his death which was caused by a heart attack. He leaves eight children: Bennie, Louis, Wiltz, Thomas and Alex Guidry and Mrs. Ben LeBlanc, Mrs. Clairfey LeBoeuf and Mrs. Bertin Jones, and the late Vittress, Octave and Clothilde Guidry. He is also, survived by 33 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. The funeral was held from Falgout Funeral Home, Raceland, Thursday at 3:30. Religious services were at Holy Savior Catholic Church at Lockport with interment in the Catholic Cemetery there. ====================================== Thibodaux Comet, Jan. 5, 1950, Thursday Submitted by Cynthia F. Daigle Larris Guidry The 11 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Guidry, Cut Off, who died Thursday, December 29, was interred in Sacred Heart Catholic cemetery at Cut Off Saturday at 3 p.m. Young Larris was the brother of Jefferson, Gustave and Cleveland Guidry, and Mrs. Louisa Buffonieo. The funeral took place from the Guidry residence at Cut Off. Religious services were conducted at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Falgout Funeral Home, Galliano, was in charge of arrangements. ============================================================================
