Jun 1, 1982 Golson Denham Golson Glenn Denham, 59, a native of Columbia, Miss, and a resident of Gulfport and Florence, Mississippi, died at 2 p.m. Sunday in Jackson, Miss. The funeral was today at the Riemann Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, U.S. Highway 49 North, Gulfport. Burial followed in the Evergreen Cemetery in Gulfport with Masonic Graveside Rites. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Helen O'Neal Denham; his son, Gordon Glenn Denham; his sister, Mrs. Gussie Mac Nicholson, all of Gulfport, and three grandchildren. Jun 2, 1982 Fr. Rousso died today Father Anthony Rousso, a native of Morgan City and a resident of Terrebonne Parish for a number of years, died early this morning at Holy Family Catholic Church in Grand Caillou after a lengthy illness. Fr. Rousso, who was in his 60s, was celebrating his 39th year as a priest this year. Ordained into the priesthood in 1943 by Archbishop Rummel of New Orleans, Fr. Rousso studied at St. Joseph's Seminary in St. Benedict, La., and graduated from Notre Dame University, with a degree in philosophy and theology. After his ordination, he was assigned to Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in White Castle. In 1952 he was appointed associate pastor of St. Vincent de Paul parish in New Orleans and Assumption parish in Plattenville, where he served until 1955. He then was pastor of St. Joseph the Worker parish in Marrero and in 1964 he transferred to Sacred Heart Church in Cut Off, where he stayed until May 1974. After working in Annunziata parish, he transferred to Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Morgan City. He was named associate pastor of St. Francis de Sales parish in August 1980, and went to Holy Family Church in Grand Caillou to recuperate from his illness. Fr. "Tony" Rousso took part in scouting activities and was a member of the Clergy Council of New Parishes and Boundaries Committee. He was director of the diocesan Cursillo movement within the church, which was held at Regina Coeli in Covington. Deacon Kurt Domangue of Holy Family Church said, "He showed the love and compassion that is needed to God and all people. He took part in marriage counseling and really loved helping the people." The funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Morgan City. Visitation will be 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. Thursday and from 8 a.m. until funeral time Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Morgan City. Burial will be in the Morgan City Mausoleum in Morgan City Cemetery. Church officials ask that no flowers be sent. Any donations should be sent in memory of Fr.
