Sep 1, 1983 Milo Meacham Meacham services set Friday Funeral services have been scheduled Friday for Milo L. Meacham, a prominent Raceland: businessman and chairman of the board of Falgout Funeral Homes, Inc., who died at 5 p.m. Wednesday. He was 67. Meacham was born in 1915 in Humble, Texas, coming to Raceland in 1917 following the death of his father. He joined Falgout Funeral Homes, Inc. in 1936. During World War II, Meacham served three years in the Pacific Theater. In 1969, Meacham became chairman of the board of the funeral home. He was a licensed funeral director and member of the Louisiana Funeral Directors Association. Meacham also was a member of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars organizations and a charter member of the carnival Krewe of Chronos. He is survived by his wife, Marie Louise Falgout Meacham, a son, Milo Meacham Jr., and a brother, Addis J. Meacham. He was preceded in death by his parents, Addis Meacham and Eve Rome Meacham. Religious services have been scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Mary Catholic Church, Raceland, with interment in the church cemetery.
