Wilson Toups services today

  Funeral services were scheduled today for Wilson O. Toups Sr., co-founder of 
Acadia Dairy, Inc., and long-time Thibodaux businessman, who died at 2:15 p.m. 
Saturday.
  He was 93.
  Toups with his late father, Edward Toups, founded Acadia Dairy in 1929. He 
also served as president of the business.
A pioneer in the dairy industry in Lafourche Parish, Toups bought a pasteurizer 
in 1937 and became the first business to process and sell pasteurized milk in 
Lafourche and surrounding parishes.
  He also was active in civic and community affairs in the Thibodaux area.
  Toups is survived by his wife, Marie Louise Lefort Toups,.and two sons, Vernon 
and Wilson Toups Jr.
  He was preceded in death by his first wife, Clarissa Lena Sevin Toups; one 
daughter, Mrs. Hosea (Maria Louise) Thibodeaux; and his parents, Edward Toups 
and Octavia Cancienne Toups.
  He was the brother of Mrs. Sidney (Mabel) Aucoin, Mrs. Louvincy (Velma) 
Gaudet, Mrs. Achille (Ethel) Naquin and Abby Toups.
  He was preceded in death by the late Clarence Toups ,and Mrs. Emile (Maude) 
Morvant.
  He is survived by 8 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
  Religious services were scheduled at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Co-Cathedral, with 
interment in the church cemetery.

[William W. Herpel]
  Funeral services for Thibodaux businessman William W. Herpel will be held 
Tuesday morning at St. John's Episcopal Church.
  He died Sunday at 2:10 pin. following a lengthy illness.
  Herpel was president of Mattingly Tractor Company and a president of Deep 
South Farm, an association for equipment dealers. In addition, he served as 
trustee in the reorganization of the Jax Brewery and Multiphonics, Inc. of New 
Orleans and was a member of the board of directors of Citizens Bank and Trust 
Company of Thibodaux.
  A graduate of the University of Texas, Herpel came to Thibodaux as a geologist 
with Humble Oil Company.
  He was married to the late Peggy Mattingly Herpel and is survived by a 
daughter Peggy Ann Baumann of Del Rio, Tex., sons George and William of 
Thibodaux, a sister Elizabeth Beckmann and four grandchildren.
  Religious services have been scheduled for 11 a.m. at St. John's Episcopal

Funeral services will be Tuesday morning for Ashton P. "Frog" Clement, a 
lifelong resident of Chackbay and former public official, who died Sunday 
morning.
  Clement served as justice of the peace for the Ward 6 area from 1968 to 1972.  
He was a member of the North Thibodaux and Chackbay volunteer fire departments 
as well as the Choupic Hunting Club and the Holy Name Society.  He served as an 
usher at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Chackbay
  His daughter Gayle is married to . U.S. Rep. Wilbert J. "Billy" Tauzin.
  He is also survived by his wife Flore Percle Clement, sons James and Max

Fabien Zeller
  Religious services have been scheduled at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Lawrence 
the Martyr Catholic Church, Kraemer, for Fabien Zeller, 76, who died at 4 a.m. 
Monday.
  Interment has been scheduled in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 
4-11 p.m. today and from 8-10 a.m. Wednesday at the church hall.
  He was the father of Bernadette Rodrigue; brother of the late Clara Mollere, 
Klone Prestonback and Bernard Zeller; grandfather of Belinda Farace.
