Carmouche] Assumption educator dies Funeral services were held today for former Assumption Parish Schools superintendent Norman E. Carmouche who died Saturday at Assumption General Hospital. He was 79. A native and resident of Napoleonville, Carmouche served 29 years as superintendent of schools, 1945-1974, and served a term as Assumption Parish police juror, 1976-1980. Carmouche's public service also included participation as a delegate to the Louisiana Constitutional Convention in 1973.
