for Lester ÒBudÓ Barrilleaux, 50, a native of Schriever and resident of 
LaPlace, who died Sunday in Thibodaux.

Religious services will be a 10 a.m. Thursday from St. Joan of Arc Catholic 
Church in LaPlace with burial in the St. Joseph Cemetery in Thibodaux.

Visitation will be from 5 to 10 p.m. Wednesday at Millet Funeral Home.

He was the husband of Norma Airhart Barrilleaux; father of Terry, Patrick, 
Sheila, and Jennifer Barrilleaux of LaPlace; son of Alvin J. Barrilleaux of 
Schriever; brother of Louis ÒSonnyÓ Barrilleaux of New Orleans, Garnet B. 
Arceneaux of Schriever, Alvin M. Barrilleaux of Chackbay, Robert ÒBobbyÓ 
Barrilleaux of Hahnville, Ann B. Buras of Kenner, and Kent J. Barrilleaux of 
Schriever.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mabel Ledet Barrilleaux.

Victoria M. Delaune Richoux, 81, a native and resident of Larose, who died 
Monday.

Religious services will be at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Larose at 10 a.m. 
with burial at Holy Rosary Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 11 p.m. Tuesday and from 7 a.m. until funeral time 
on Wednesday.

She was the mother of Edwin Richoux Jr., of Bridge City; Leroy Richoux of 
Houma; Herman (Jock) and Lee Richoux of Larose; Ronald Richoux of Gretna; 
Jimmie Richoux, Mrs. Victoria LeBlanc, Mrs. June Punch and Mrs. Jean Jacob of 
Marrero; Mrs. Winnie Mae Knockaert of New Orleans and Mrs. Verna Schmidt of 
Hayward, California.  She is survived by 11 grandchildren, 28 great 
grandchildren and 19 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin C. Richoux Sr.; and her 
parents, Odeo Delaune and Armantine Melancon.

Church for Presley Norman Albert, 36, a native of Houma and a resident of New 
Orleans and San Francisco, who died at 1 p.m. Monday.

Burial was in the St. Philomena Cemetery in Labadieville.

He was the son of Presley L. Albert and Joy Peck Growland; brother of Kellie 
Albert and Denice Grove, of South Bend, Ind.; and the grandson of Mrs. Roy Peck 
and Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Albert of Schriever.

a.m. for Horace Joseph Callahan, 75, a native of Cut Off and resident of 
Larose, who died in Raceland at 7 p.m. Monday.

Religious services will be at noon Wednesday at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church 
in Larose with burial in the church cemetery.  Friends may call at the funeral 
home after 4 p.m. Tuesday until funeral time.

He was the husband of Hazel Lee Callahan; father of Dudley Ray and Paul 
Callahan; brother of Nola Callahan, Mrs. Hecton (Annie) Callais, Linda C. 
Fischer and the late Hilda Callahan.

He is also survived by five grandchildren and one great grandchild.

She was the mother of George Nolan Landry, Mrs. Jean (Hoisble) Marse, Mrs. 
Francis (Bertha) Simon, Mrs. Eugene (Loretta) Zeringue, and Mrs. Donald (Linda) 
Bernard.

She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Luke Landry; her parents, Clay and 
Josephine Lgendre Landry; and her adopted parents Adam and Julie Trosclair.

Chacahoula and a resident of Thibodaux, who died at 12:30 a.m. Wednesday.

She was the mother of Mrs. Douglas (Ethel) Gagneaux of Houma, Beady Roddy Sr. 
of Schriever, Daniel Roddy of Lafayette, Benny Roddy of Metairie and Harold

She is survived by 17 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, and 10 great-
great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph ÒMoonÓ Roddy; her parents, Eve 
LeBlanc and Augustave Olivier; a son, Collins Roddy; a daughter, Mrs. Wilmer 
(Esther) Matherne; four sisters and three brothers.

He was the brother of Eulalie Breaux.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mabel Belanger.

years, who died at 12:15 p.m. Saturday near the shoreline of Lafourche Parish.

He was the husband of Irene L. Best, Baton Rouge; father of Kenneth W. Best, 
Baton Rouge; hald brother of Jeanean Franks, Orange, Texas, Anna Mae Lormand, 
Houston, Texas; and the step-son of J.E. Musick, Orange, Texas.

He is survived by three grandchildren.

Sr.; and her husband by second marriage, Louis E. Lefort.

Church for Dr. Anthony B. Leggio Jr., 48, a native of Dorseyville and resident

Center.

Services set for Physician

Funeral services will be held Thursday in Raceland for Dr. Thomas Benton Ayo, 
79, who died at 2:30 a.m. today in Thibodaux.

Dr. Ayo, a native and resident of Raceland, was a staff member from 1935 to 
1975 of St. Joseph Hospital in Thibodaux, now Thibodaux General Hospital, 
Terrebonne General Hospital in Houma, Lady of the Sea Hospital in Galliano and 
St. Anne General Hospital in Raceland. He was a staff member of Thibodaux 
General Hospital until his death.

Dr. Ayo was also vice president and board member of Raceland Bank and Trust 
Company. 

He belonged to the Louisiana .State Medical Society, Lafourche Parish Medical 
Society, Third District Medical Society, American Medical Association and 
International College of Surgeons. He was a member of Southern Medical Society 
until 1976 and a Fellow of the International College in Obstetrics and 
Gynecology since 1954.

Dr. Ayo retired from obstetrics Nov. 1, 1974. On April 1, 1974 he delivered his 
last baby. He last performed surgery March 17, 1975. 

Dr. Ayo was educated at Raceland High School and Jefferson College. He received 
a Bachelor of Science degree in 1927 and a medical degree in 1928 from Tulane 
University.

He interned at Charity Hospital in New Orleans from 1928 to 1930 when he was 
chosen Fellow in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Charity Hospital under the 
auspices of Louisiana State University. He was the first medical doctor to 
have this position at Charity and served in this capacity until 1932.

He taught obstetrics and gynecology at LSU and Tulane medical schools where he 
was assistant head of the department under Dr. E.L. King. He was also in 
private practice in New Orleans until coming to Raceland in 1934 to take over 
his father's practice.

Religious services will be held at St. Mary Catholic Church in Raceland 
Thursday at 10 a.m. Interment will be in St. Mary Mausoleum.

Friends may call from 6:30 to 10 p. m. Wednesday at St. Mary Catholic Church.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the St. Mary School Endowment Fund are 
preferred.

Dr. Ayo was the husband of Anne Webre Ayo, father of Gigi Ayo, foster father of 
Patch Webre and brother of Mrs. Harvey Peltier Sr.

James Hubert Ayo and Jackson J. Ayo Jr.
