Catholic Church in Kraemer for Velma Marie Cortez, 54, who died at 11:45 a.m. 
Thursday.

Burial will be in church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 3 p.m. today until funeral time Saturday at St. 
Lawrence Church Hall.

She was the sister of Mercy Cortez Kraemer, Doris Cortez Loupe, Marie Templet 
Martin, Beatrice Templet Cortez and Lucille Templet Cortez.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Cortez; six 
brothers, Lester, Gilbert, Ursin, Addis and Alidor Cortez; and two sisters, 
Agnes Cortez Jennings and Althea Cortez Hanna.

Guy Joseph Hargis, 78, a native of Raceland and a resident of Carville, who

He was the father of Mrs. Rose Marie Gonzales of Gretna and Joseph ÒBobÓ Hargis 
of Arabie; and the brother of Sophie Wichers and Anthony Hargis.

He is also survived by seven grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosemary Carbbo; his parents, Charles L.
