LeRoy Blanchard Sr.

Religious services have been scheduled from St. Ann's Catholic Church in 
Napoleonville at 10 a.m. on Tuesday for LeRoy Joseph Blanchard Sr., 56, a 
resident of Paincourtville, who died Sunday at 12:30 p.m.

He is survived by his wife, Inez LeBlanc Blanchard; one son, LeRoy Blanchard 
Jr.; two daughters, Mrs. Claude (Cheryl) Michel and Wendy Blanchard. He was the 
brother of Azeme Daigle, Roland Blanchard, Mervin Blanchard, Rosemary Richard 
and Henry Blanchard Jr.; and the son of Lena Fryou Blanchard. He is also 
survived by six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Blanchard.

Visitation, will be all night from 4:30 p.m. today until funeral time Tuesday 
at Landry Funeral Home in Napoleonville. Burial will be at the church cemetery. 
Landry Funeral Home in Napoleonville is in charge of arrangements.

Religious services have been scheduled from Immaculate Conception Church at 11 
a.m. for Alcidie Bailey Daigle, 81, a native and resident of Napoleonville, who 
died today at 12:07 a.m.

She is survived by her husband, Luke P. Daigle; three daughters, Irene Dibos, 
Marie Isbell and Estelle Wiggins; one son, Ernest Daigle; two brothers, Frank 
and Vic Bailey; and two sisters, Josephine Himel and Fedora Crochet; also 
survived by 13 grandchildren and 24 grandchildren.

Visitation from 6-10 p.m. today and 8 a.m. until funeral time Tuesday at 
LandryÕs Funeral Home in Napoleonville. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Funeral services were scheduled from the Greater Woodville Baptist Church in 
Wallace at noon today for Harriet Narcisse Gillard, 78, a native of Vacherie 
and resident of Wallace who died Thursday at 10:15 a.m.

She was the mother of Victoria Taylor of New Orleans, Geraldine Boudois, Joseph 
Gillard and Alvin Narcisse of Vacherie, Marion Grows, Alfred and Cornelius 
Narcisse of Edgard; the sister of Lauverda Gordon of New Orleans, Wilbert 
Dennis of Metairie, Wilmen Dennis of New Orleans and Junius Dennis of Marrero; 
also survived by 46 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Horace Gillard and by first marriage, 
Felican Narcisse; parents, Collis Dennis and Norlie Dumas; daughter, Dolores 
Slater; sons, Larry Narcisse and Junius Gillard; and brother, Lorenza Poche.

Interment in Willow Grove Cemetery, Wallace. Earl Baloney & Sons is in charge 
of arrangements.

Wake and funeral services have been scheduled for Tuesday at 8 p.m. from Old 
Fountain Baptist Church on La. 308 for Ernest Miller, a native and resident of 
Thibodaux, who died Saturday at South Louisiana Medical Center.

He was the father of Leona Miller Gaines, Julia Miller, Louise Williams, Lily 
Matthews, Linda Johnson, Lois Matthews, Ernest Thomas and Edward, Charlie and 
Charles Miller, all of Thibodaux; stepfather to Doris Johnson and Margaret 
Jules, also of Thibodaux; also survived by 44 grandchildren and 15 great 
grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ora Miller, and second wife, 
Rebecca Thomas Miller.

Dismissal will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. with interment in the church cemetery.

Wednesday at 10 a.m. for Robert Anthony Crochet, 19, a native of New Orleans 
and resident of Cut Off, who died at Larose Sunday.

He was the son of Elizabeth Wactor Leonard; stepson of Lucius Leonard; foster son 
of Nora and Norris Thibodaux; brother of Louis Crochet Jr., Ernest, Valerie and 
Sylvia Ann Crochet.

He was preceded in death by his father, Louis Crochet Sr.; and brothers, 
Stanley and Eddie Crochet.

Interment will be in Restlawn Cemetery in Avondale. Friends may call after 6 
p.m. Tuesday until 11 p.m. and from 7 a.m. until funeral time Wednesday.

He was the brother of Earl, Ralph and Wilfred Mylie.

New Orleans at 11 a.m. today for Joseph D. LeBlanc, a native of Paincourtville 
and resident of New Orleans, who died Tuesday at his home.

He is survived by his wife, Cecile Michel LeBlanc; a daughter, Linda All; two 
sons, Joseph LeBlanc and Roy M. LeBlanc Sr.; five sisters, Jeanne and Lucy 
Landry, Anna Donnelly, Mabel Vinson and Margaret Johnson; two brothers, Dolese 
and Jessie LeBlanc; and seven grandchildren.

Burial was to be in St. Roch Cemetery No. 2 in New Orleans.

She was preceded in death by her husband Marcie Matherne; a son, Oakland 
Matherne; two brothers Sidney and Whitney Fonseca and five sisters Maggie 
Fonseca, Stella and Lucille Brunet, Ida Trosclair and Felicia Dufrene.

Metairie this morning for Edna Simoneaux Talamo, 78 a native of Labadieville 
and resident of Kenner, who died Tuesday at East Jefferson General Hospital.

She is survived by four sons, Leroy Simoneaux Sr., Ralph, Joseph and Walter 
Simoneaux; two daughters, Mary Ann Yates and Edna Mae Stigall; 16 grandchildren 
and 39 great-grandchildren.

Religious services were to be at Nativity of Our Lord Church in Kenner at 11 am. 
Burial will be in Cypress Grove Cemetery.

Leon Pierre Breaux, 69, a native of Gheens and resident of Raceland, who died 
Wednesday at 7:25 p.m. in Raceland.

Religious services were to be held at St. Mary Catholic Church with interment in 
the church mausoleum.

He was the husband of Leoncia Danos Breaux; father of Alvin P. Breaux and Mrs. 
Louis (Joan) Larousse; brother of Mrs. Louise Perry, Mrs. Mildred Dufrene, Mrs. 
Ella Ledet, Mrs. Clara Bergeron and Nolan, Roy, Charlie and Roland Breaux. He was 
also survived by two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Lawrence Breaux and two sisters, Irene 
and Agnes Breaux and his parents Pierre and Leonine Falgout Breaux.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Haas; and parents, Pamphile and 
Desiree Ockman Oubre.

Preston Marquette

Funeral services were scheduled from St. Agnes Church, 3310 Jefferson Highway 
in New Orleans at 11 a.m. for the Rev. Preston J. Marquette, 71, a native of 
Napoleonville, who died Thursday at East Jefferson General Hospital after a 
lengthy illness. 

Monsignor Marquette was the pastor at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary in Larose prior to 
1979 when he moved to Jefferson. In 1984 he was named pastor emeritus of St. Agnes 
in Jefferson when be retired because of failing health.

He is survived by three brothers, Roland J. and Gerald J. Marquette of 
Napoleonville, and Jerome C. Marquette of Baton Rouge.

Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery in Napoleonville. Jacob Schoen & Son Funeral 
Home is in charge of arrangements.

He is also survived by nine grandchildren.

He was the husband of Libora Todaro Scioneaux; father of Rose Creppel, Adeline 
Smith, Harry C. and Joseph H. Scioneaux Jr.; and brother of Anecia Dempster and 
Elmo Scioneaux. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and five great-
grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Angel Scioneaux; a sister, 
Mrs. Mattie Rome; brothers, Ernest, Harris, Joe and Harry Scioneaux; a 
grandchild and great-grandchild.

Interment will be in West Lawn Memorial Park.

and Lawrence Triggs of Labadieville; and sister of Elizabeth Scott, Hosea 
Harris and Simon Harris of Raceland. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren 
and 6 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alice Triggs and Simon Harris; one 
daughter, Evelyn Triggs; and one brother, Willie Harris.

Cemetery, Lafourche Crossing. Visitation will begin today at 5 p.m. at the

for Elise Pintado Williams, 88, a native of Assumption Parish who died Tuesday at 
8:55 a.m. Interment was to be in Mennonite Cemetery in Des Allemands.

She was the mother of Edward "Pete" Dugas.

She is also survived by three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Odeus O. Williams, and one son, 
Lawerence Dugas.

who died Thursday at 5:30 a.m.

funeral time Friday at the funeral home.

Interment will be in the Cheramie Cemetery in Galliano.

She was the mother of Gergie Benoit, Joyce Terrebonne, Almate and John Guidry; 
and sister of Augustine Bradberry, Nerda, St. Pierre, Augusta Guidry, Seliaz 
Triche, Agnes Robinson, Gaston and Nat Gisclair.

She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and two great-

Home, Galliano, for Ronald Joseph Melancon Jr., 18, a native of Thibodaux and a 
resident of Lockport who died in Larose Wednesday at 3:35 a.m.

Religious services have also been scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Holy 
Rosary Catholic Church Larose, with burial in the church cemetery.

Visitation is scheduled from 2 p.m. today until funeral time Saturday.

He was the son of Mrs. Jimmy Boudoin and Ronald J. Melancon Sr.; brother of 
Margaret Babin and Gary Melancon; and grandson of Leoncia Naquin and Mrs. 
Johnny Melancon.

Marshall Morris Sr.

Religious services were scheduled from the Pilgrim Baptist Church in 
Paincourtville at 8 p.m. today for Marshall Morris Sr., 72, a native of 
Napoleonville, who died at his residence in Napoleonville Wednesday at 9 a.m.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Morris, Napoleonville; a daughter, 
Geraldine Morris, Donaldsonville; two sons, Marshall Morris Jr., Los Angeles, 
Calif., and Allen Morris, Baton Rouge; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Alice Morris.

Visiting at the church from 5 p.m. until the services today.  Dismissal at 11 
a.m. Saturday with burial in the church cemetery.

Octavia "Tavee" Nickens

Religious services are scheduled from St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church 
in Plaquemine for Octavia Chiasson "Tavee" Nickens, 90, a native of Chackbay 
and resident of Plaquemine and Grosse Tete; who died Thursday at 11:05 a.m. at 
River West Medical Center.

She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Francis (Eva Mae) Manola, Grosse Tete, 
Mrs. Calvin (Sarah Jane) Sevario, Port Allen, Mrs. Tom (Susie Inez) Davis, 
Baton Rouge, and Mrs. Clayton R. (Mary Alice) Hebert, Plaquemine; three sons, 
Adams P. Nickens Sr., Plaquemine, J.A. Nickens, Brusley, and Thomas P. Nickens 
Jr., Erwinville; a sister, Mrs. Armelise Allemand, Donaldsonville; 31 
grandchildren, 60 great-grandchildren and numerous great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Payne Nickens Sr.; two sisters 
and four brothers.

Visiting at Wilbert Funeral Home in Plaquemine from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday 
and from 8 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. Saturday. Burial in Grace Memorial Park, 
Plaquemine.

Allemands on Saturday at 11 a.m. for Leon Robinson, of Des Allemands, who died 
Saturday at 3:35 p.m.

He is survived by his wife, Sister Missionary Mable Williams Robinson; 
children, Betty Griffin of Marrero; Leo Julius Robinson of Wallace, Lloyd Lee 
and Charles Henry Robinson and Virt Lee Robinson Gullege of Des Allemands, and 
Jacqueline Marie Robinson of New Orleans; brothers, Arthur Robinson Jr. of 
Raceland, Cleveland Robinson of Nashville, Tenn., Eddie Robinson of Harvey, and 
Cecil Triggs of Seattle, Wash.; sisters, Ceola Jones of Thibodaux and Louise 
Hampton of Port Arthur, Texas; 37 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Robinson Sr. and Molly Skipper 
Robinson; brothers, Harold, Henry and Joseph Robinson; and a sister, Inetta 
Williams.

Interment in Shell Mound Cemetery in Des Allemands. Wake services at the church 
on Friday at 8 p. m.

Funeral services have been scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Falgout Funeral 
Home, Galliano; for Daryl Anthony Richoux Sr., 22, a native and resident of 
Galliano who died Thursday at 11:35 a.m.

Religious services have also been scheduled for noon Saturday at the 
Christian Fellowship Church, Larose, with interment in the Cheramie 
Cemetery in Galliano. Visitation is scheduled from 5 p.m. today until 
funeral time Saturday at the funeral home.

He was the husband of Aresanna Duet Richoux; father, of Daryl Jr. and Derick 
Richoux; brother of Mrs. Gary (Phyllis) Gaudet, Todd and Eddie Richoux; and son 
of Russell and Shirley Cheramie Richoux.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Jane Richoux; and one brother, 
Russell Richoux Jr.

Wake and funeral services have been scheduled for 8 p.m. today at Old Fountain 
Baptist Church, Thibodaux, for Louis Watkins Sr., 66, a native of Thibodaux 
who died Monday at South Louisiana Medical Center in Houma.

Dismissal services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday with interment in the 
church cemetery.

He was the husband of Ruby Watkins; father of Louis Watkins Jr. of Thibodaux; 
foster-father of Michael Hogan, Calvin Short, Roffergy Youngs, James and 
Sinetro Adams; and brother of Viola Adams, Rev. Ernest Watkins, Daisy Clark, 
all of Thibodaux, and James Watkins of Harvey.

He is also survived by six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Adam and Rose Watkins Sr.
