Funeral services were scheduled for this morning from Landry's Funeral Home 
in Thibodaux for Clifton H. Benoit, 72, who died Friday at 3 p.m.

He was the husband of Lucy Adams Benoit; father of Lucy Doiron, Clifton J. 
Benoit, Ronald G. Benoit, Farley G. Benoit and Darlene B. Britt; the brother 
of Bridget Clement, Eugene Benoit, James Benoit, Roland Benoit and Warren 
Benoit. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, five step-grandchildren and 
one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Benoit.

Interment was to be in St. John Cemetery. Arrangements are by Landry's Funeral 
Home.

Valcour J. Benoit

Funeral services were scheduled for this morning from Our Lady of Prompt Succor 
Catholic Church in Chackbay for Valcour J. Benoit, 73, a native and resident of 
Thibodaux, who died Friday at 6:30 p.m.

He was the father of Hubert and Francis J. Benoit and Audrey Anne Foret. He is 
also survived by 15 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Edward; a sister, Edwina Benoit; and 
parents, Lydian and Aliska Tabor Benoit.

Burial was to be in the church cemetery. Arrangements are by Landry's of 
Thibodaux.

Edith Freeman

Religious services were held from the First Baptist Church of Lockport on Sunday 
for Edith Grace Greene Freeman, 82, a native of Ruston and a resident of Lafourche 
Parish for 40 years, who died at 10:45 p.m. Friday.

She is survived by her husband, Basil E. Freeman; one son, Eddie Freeman; three 
daughters, Paula Guidry, Bonnie Miller and Betty Smith; one brother, Lawrence 
J. Greene; one sister, Willy Charlene Walton; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-
grandchildren.

The family requests memorial donations be made to the building fund of the 
First Baptist Church in Lockport.

Interment was in Cheramie Cemetery in Galliano. Falgout Funeral Home of 
Raceland was in charge of arrangements.

Funeral services are scheduled for 8 p.m. Tuesday from the New Belmont Baptist 
Church in Labadieville for Sadie Hogan, a native and resident of Labadieville 
who died Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Assumption General Hospital.

She was the wife of Wilfred Hogan of Thibodaux; and guardian of Shelia 
Robertson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Julius Brisco and Eva Turner; and two 
sisters, Mattie Washington and Florence Magee.

Dismissal services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday with interment in the 
church cemetery. Arrangements are by Landry's Funeral Home.

Catholic Church in Donaldsonville for Dorothy Mae Aucoin Lear, 77, a native of 
Thibodaux and resident of Donaldsonville who died at 3 p.m. Friday in 
Donaldsonville.

She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Henry (Ida Lear) Mellien; a son, Albert 
Lear Jr., both of Donaldsonville; a sister, Edwina Aucoin, Carmelite Convent, 
New Orleans; a brother, Paul G. Aucoin Jr., Thibodaux; and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert J. Lear Sr.; her parents; and 
four sisters.

Burial was to be in the church cemetery.

Church for Nolan Simon Pitre, 73, a native and resident of Raceland, who died 
at 7:50 a.m. Saturday.

He is survived by his wife, Edla Babin Pitre; three sons, Hilton J., Murphy P. 
and Ray A. Pitre; two daughters, Mrs. Edward (Peggy) Boudreaux and Jeanelle P. 
Griffin; two brothers, Dewey and Malvin Pitre; two sisters, Mrs. Albert (Ethel) 
Foret Jr. and Mrs. Jessie (Rena) LeBlanc; 19 grandchildren; and 14 great 
grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Lloyd Pitre; and one sister, Theodoule 
(Viola) Pertuit.

Interment was to be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Falgout Funeral Home of Raceland is 
in charge of arrangements.

Church in Lockport for Bert J. Savoie, 50, a native and resident of Lockport, who 
died in Raceland Friday at 9:30 p.m.

He was the husband of Norma Gaston Savoie; father of Allen, Darrel, Michael, 
Wendell and Lori Savoie; brother of Mrs. Robert (Joyce) Sevin and Aubrey, 
Harold and Dennis Savoie; and the son of Horace and Nola Landry Savoie.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Marietta Savoie.

Star Baptist Church in Napoleonville for Georgia Washington who died at 10 p.m. 
Wednesday at Veteran's Hospital in New Orleans.

He is survived by a son, Cantrell Lang of Napoleonville; a brother, Narcisse 
Washington of Napoleonville; four sisters, Mildred B. Mitchell of Boston, 
Mass., Chaney Washington and Rosetta Brooks of New Orleans, and Irma Clark of 
California.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jonas and Eva Washington; a sister, 
Georgiana Washington; and a brother, Freddie Washington.

Visiting will be at the church today from 5 p.m. until religious services which 
will be conducted by the Rev. Cleveland Williams. Dismissal will be Tuesday at 
10 a.m. with burial in the church cemetery.

She was the wife of Maxine Doucet; mother of Mrs. Roy (Joyce) Dantin, and Dayton 
P. Doucet; foster mother of Roy Benoit; and sister of Ozalie Toups Verdros, 
Viola Toups Lasseigne, Nickerson and Leo Toups.

She is also survived by four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Pierre and Lescade Duet Toups; one 
sister, Lorida Toups Bourg; and three brothers, Joseph, Jefferson and Manuel 
Toups.

Winona Brooks of Crowley and Mrs. Albion Hebert of Sulphur.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lionel Thomas Laperouse Sr.

Batesville.

Arcello Makin and Enola Terrebonne.

Funeral services were scheduled from the chapel of P.J. McMahon & Son Funeral 
Home in New Orleans at noon today for Evelyn Marie Eliska Parr Sellers, 74, a 
native of Donaldsonville and resident of New Orleans, who died Tuesday at 3:30 
a.m.

She was the mother of Roy N. Sellers Jr. and Andrew Parr Sellers; and the 
daughter of Evelyn Babin Parr Cavender of Donaldsonville. She is also 
survived by five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Nolen Sellers of Alexander City, 
Ala.; a son, Roy Parr Sellers; and her father, Andrew Joseph Parr of Lockport.

Interment was to be in Hope Mausoleum.

He was the husband of Susan Ann Pitre Bessonette; father of Jackie Glen

Rushing and Frank Basonette. He was also survived by four grandchildren and two 
great-grandchildren.

He was also survived by nine grandchildren.

He was the husband of Gladys Bruce Adams and brother of Bonnie Minor, Glenn, 
Joe, Thomas Jefferson, Pat and Robert Adams.

and Robert Arcement; brother of Earl, Antoine and Levon Arcement. He is also 
survived by eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Cindy Anne Arcement; a brother, Ovile 
Arcement; sisters, Judith Champagne and Earline Rodrigue; and his parents, 
Onezipe and Grace Acoste Arcement.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held from Infant Jesus of Prague Catholic 
Church in Harvey. Interment was to be in Westlawn Memorial Park in Gretna.

Catholic Church in Thibodaux for Eula Usey Bonvillain, 64, who died Sunday at 7:30 
a.m.

She is survived by her husband, Willie W. Bonvillain; sons, Donald, Larry, 
Terry and Ricky Bonvillain, all of Thibodaux, Ray Bonvillain of Breaux Bridge 
and Gary Bonvillain of Sunset; and one daughter, Mrs. Benjamin "Dale Marie"

eight grandchildren.

in Raceland for Thomas LeBlanc, 70, a native of White Castle and resident of 
Raceland for 15 years, who died at South Louisiana Medical Center in Houma on 
Wednesday at 3:30 a.m. 

He is survived by two daughters, Carolyn "Betty" and Mary Lee LeBlanc, both 
of Chicago; one brother, Joseph LeBlanc of Dixon, Ill.; one stepbrother, 
William Shaw of New Orleans; two sisters, Mary Barnes of Dixon, Ill., and

Daigle, Donaldsonville; three sons; Hubert J. Dugas, Baton Rouge, Brother Collin 
Dugas, S.C., New Orleans, and the Rev. Jerome A. Dugas, Plaquemine; 35 
grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry M. Dugas; and two sons, Roland 
and Perry Dugas.

Visiting is at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East on Florida Blvd. in Baton Rouge from 7-9 
p.m. today and 8:30-10:10 a.m. Thursday.
