Wake and funeral services are scheduled for 8 p.m. today at Morning Star Baptist 
Church in Raceland for Johnny Holmes, 38, a native and resident of Lafourche 
Parish who died Sunday at 12:20 a.m.

Dismissal services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Levi Jones 
officiating.  Visitation will be at the church beginning at 5 p.m. today.

He is survived by his wife, Bernette Tilman Holmes; six children, Anissa, Johnny 
Jr. and Victor Jay Holmes, Melissa and Edwin Lee Tilman and Johnny Poindtdexter; 
parents, Clarence and Persephone Holmes; three brothers, Alfred, Clarence Jr. 
and Ernest Holmes; and two sisters, Victoria Brooks and Connie Pollard.

Arrangements were by Cager's Funeral Home, Raceland.

Dismissal services have been scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday at Progressive 
Baptist Church, Harvey, for Leon Wilson Jr., 69, a native of Lockport and 
resident of Harvey for 37 years, who died Monday at 1:50 p.m.

Wake and funeral services have been scheduled for 8 p.m. at the church.  
Interment will be in Restlawn Park.

He was the husband of the late Celestine Brown Wilson; father of Frank, Ola Mae, 
Richard, Cornelius Sr., Melvin and Sondra Dee Wilson, Ella B. Tuesno and the 
late Ora Lee Smith, Leon III and Dorothea Debra Wilson; he was the son of the 
late Mack Wilson and Anna Watkins Taylor; and brother of the late Nelson, 
Clarence Sr., and Woodrow Wilson and Joseph Smith Sr. and John Tuesno.

He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Arrangements were made by Duplain W. Rhodes Funeral Home of Gretna.

in Thibodaux for Fritz Albert Busch, a native of Orchard, Texas and a resident 
of Thibodaux, who died Tuesday at 1:15 a.m.

Burial services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Guardian Angel Cemetery of Wallis,
 Texas.

He was the husband of Bessie Denny Busch; father of Albert F. Busch of Espanola, 
N.M., Mary Davis of Baton Rouge and Dr. John Busch of Fort Worth, Texas; brother 
of Bertha Cone, Frieda Kroesche and Alvena Lindsey.  He is also survived by five 
grandchildren.

She was the wife of the late Adam Crosby; daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Paul 
Trahan; mother of Julian Crosby and the late Antoinne D. Crosby; sister Mrs. Leo 
Guerin, Azelle Drouen and the late Louise T. Guidry, Irene T. Dardar, Adam, 
Douglas, Irvin, Alvin, Elvis and Dudley Crosby.

Elphie Falcon Divincenco, 86, a native of White Castle and a resident of 
Donaldsonville who died Tuesday at 5:10 a.m.

She was the mother of Lois Regina and Evelyn Lassere, both of Donaldsonville, 
Helen Cappo and Curtis Falcon; and sister of Margie Olivier of Thibodaux.

She is also survived by seven grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and one 
great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Albert C. Falcon; her second 
husband, Paul Divincenco; her parents, Mitchell and Louise Trabeau Richard; and 
one sister, Hilda Richard.

grandchildren.

He was the husband of Lillian Verdin Duffoure; son of Armond and Maggie 
Duffoure; father of Pamela Duffoure and Theresa Bandier; and brother of Ruby

Arnold, Daniel, Jesse, Huey, Robert and Carroll Duffoure.

He is also survived by one grandchild.

82, who died Friday at 3:55 p.m.  He served on the Police Jury from 1960-1972.

Interment was scheduled in the church cemetery.

He was the husband of Josephine (Octave) Porche Dupre of Houma; son of the late 
lee and Hortinse Hotard Dupre; father of Edwin, Johnny and Clark Dupre of Bayou 
Blue and the late David Dupre Jr; and brother of Rita Sonier of Bayou Blue and 
the late Justillia, Adam and Jimmy Dupre.

He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Arrangements were made by Chauvin Funeral Home Inc. of Houma.

Rouge and John Rhodes of Fort Lauderdale; sisters, Mrs. South T. Fish of New 
Orleans, Mrs. J.Y. Duncan of Thibodaux, Mrs. J.J. Rebstock Jr. of New Orleans 
and Patricia R. Dumond of New Iberia; eight grandchildren and four great-
grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife Pearl Peevy, parents Feltus Rhodes and 
Loretta Prejean Rhodes and brother Avery Rhodes.

Interment was to be in Memorial Park Cemetery in New Iberia.

the late Willie Thibodeaux by second marriage, mother of Ruby Guidry, sister of 
Laura Clement, Marcellus Diaz and the late Lemma Diaz and T.A. Diaz.  She was 
the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Diaz.

Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to funeral time Monday at Thibodaux-Landry 
Funeral Home.  Interment will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery,

She was preceded in death by husbands, Arthur Humphrey Tyler and Junius J. 
Arceneaux Sr.; parents Frank and Olivia Dugas Hoffmann; brothers, Federal and 
Francis Hoffmann and sister Mary Ann Hoffmann.

Dr. James Bordelon

Thibodaux orthodontist Dr. James Paul Bordelon, 51, died Thursday.

Funeral services are set for Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Co-Cathedral, 
Thibodaux.  Visitation will be tonight from 7 to 10 at the church and Saturday 
from 9 a.m. to funeral time.

A native of New Orleans, Bordelon had lived in Thibodaux since 1966.  He was a 
graduate of Loyola Dental School and of the orthodontics graduate program at 
Indiana University.  In addition to his private practice, Bordelon taught at the 
LSU Dental School.

His professional affiliations included fellowship in the American College of 
Orthodontics.  His civic activities included the E.D. White Cardinal Club, the 
Band Boosters Club and the Lions Club.  He was a past president of the Country 
Club Civic Association and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Bordelon is survived by his wife Barbara Flink Bordelon, formerly of Bay St. 
Louis, Miss.; a son Robert James Bordelon; three daughters, Mary Susan, Michelle 
Andrea and Rebecca Ann Bordelon, his mother Mary Lou Bordelon and a sister Joy 
Ann Strong of Birmingham, Ala.

He was the son of the late James Paul Bordelon Sr.

The family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the E.D. White 
Foundation Memorial Fund.

He was the husband of Adlene Hall, by first and second marriage and Jenetter

Services today for Thibodaux business leader
L.J. Hebert

Lafourche National Bank President L.J. Hebert of Thibodaux died Saturday after a 
lengthy illness.  He was 65.

He worked with Lafourche National Bank since 1937 in all phases of banking.  He 
recently retired from regular duties at the bank, but still retained the title 
of president.

This past December he was named recipient of the Frank Kennedy Award by the 
Thibodaux Chamber of Commerce for his significant contribution to the business 
community.  Hebert was the charter president of that organization in 1966-68, 
and was the only resident to serve twice.  He was instrumental in the founding 
of the Chamber.

"If there was such an institution called the Thibodaux Chamber of Commerce Hall 
of Fame, L.J. Hebert would be one its first inductees," said past Chamber 
President Russell Ayo after presenting Hebert with the Kennedy award.

He served as director of the New Orleans branch of the Federal Reserve Bank from 
1968-70, was chairman of the Public Affairs Research Council for the stat of 
Louisiana from 1981-82, served as president of the Louisiana Bankers 
Association, was state president of the Louisiana Bankers Association, was 
chairman of the Community Bankers Division of the American Bankers Association 
for five years and was on the Governor's Committee of 100.

Hebert was a World War II veteran.  He entered the armed services in 1942, 
earned his pilot's wings in April 1943, went overseas in August of that year, 
served 14 months in the European Theater and returned with the rank of captain.

He was the husband of Betty Roth Hebert; father of Dr. John R. Hebert of 
Florida, Suzanne Daly of Metarie, Denise Fox of Houma; brother of Calvin Hebert 
of Thibodaux, Charles Ray Hebert of Thibodaux, Donald Hebert of Gramercy, Maude 
Rita Morvant of Wayne, Mich., and JoAnn Robichaux of Thibodaux.  He is also 
survived by eight grandchildren.

Hebert was preceded in death by his parents, Lucien J. Hebert and Maude Bernard 
Hebert and one grandson, Benjamin Daly.

Funeral services were scheduled for 11 a.m. today at St. Joseph Catholic Church. 
Memorial contributions can be made to the L.J. Hebert Jr. Banking Scholarship 
Fund for Nicholls State University students, in care of Lafourche National Bank, 
Thibodaux.

He is survived by his wife, Antoinette Chenier Becnel; sons, Lloyd and Daniel

He was preceded in death by his parents, Pierre L. Becnel Sr. and Lydia Falgoust

Adele E. Belanger, 82, a native of Larose and resident of Grand Bois, who died

She was the mother of Horace Pierce Jr., and Mrs. Harold (Dorothy) Price; sister 
of Loney Belanger Jr., Mrs. Wilson (Kate) Chaisson, Mrs. Louis (Aggie) Richoux, 
Mrs. Patrick (Mae) Danos and the late Hazel Adams, Howard, Clinton and Claude 
Belanger; and daughter of the late Mr and Mrs.. Loney Belanger.

She is also survived by seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, one great-
great-grandchild, three step grandchildren and six step great-great-
grandchildren.

grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dewey Bergeron, parents, Tom and

daughter of the late Joe and Emma Rome Ford.
