Interment was in St. Francis Cemetery No. 2 in Houma. He was the husband of Evelyn Waguespack LeBlanc; father of Aaron J. LeBlanc Jr. of Thibodaux, Jules and Keith LeBlanc, both of Gibson, Marie Nevins of Redfield, Iowa, and Andrea Gaudet of Patterson; brother of Melissa Davis of Amelia, Florence Koffman of Chauvin, Magnus LeBlanc of Houma and Michael Leblanc of Tuscon, Ariz. Parro, an engineer and longtime district manager of the state Department of Conservation, died Thursday at 4:02 a.m. He was 81. A native of Baldwin, Parro moved to Thibodaux in 1937 where he became a civic and business leader. He was a certified petroleum engineer and has served as the Houma based district manager for more than 30 years of the state department, which oversees mineral resources. In addition to a lifelong involvement in the oil industry, Parro was involved in the agriculture industry. He was a founder and charter member of the Lafour che Crossing La. 308 Volunteer Fire Department. He was also a member of a number of civic and community groups and was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Thibodaux. Parro is survived by his wife Aimee Barras Parro; three sons, James, Richard and Randy Parro; one daughter, Carole P. Knobloch; and two brothers, Alex and Adolph Parro.
