A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Friday at St. Francis de 
Sales Cathedral in Houma for Dr. David Arthur Hickham, 60, a native of 
Alexandria and resident of Houma, who died Wednesday.

Visitation will be from noon until Funeral time Friday at the church.

Interment will be in the St. Louis Cemetery 2 in New Orleans.

He was the husband of Karlene West Hickham; son of Inez Remanion of Kenner; 
father of David Arthur Hickham Jr., of Victoria, Texas, Edward West Hickham of 
Sugar Land, Texas, and Julia Karlene Hickham of New Orleans; brother of Isaac 
Hickham Jr. of Beeville, Texas, and John H. and Arthur Hickham, both of 
Covington.

He is also survived by one grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his father, Isaac Wilburn Hickham Sr.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War and a member of the American 
Dental Association and the American Endodontic Society, the Bayou District 
Dental Association and the Outdoor Sports Writers Association.

Memorial donations may be made to Vanderbilt Catholic High School or the American 
Heart Association.

She was the daughter of Mabel Raffray Cavalier; mother of Robert Jr. and Toby 
Bergeron, Peggy Alleman, Connie Stevens, Susan Landry and Tammy Falcon; sister 
of Steve Cavalier Sr., Vera Westerfield and Linda Boudreaux. She is also 
survived by 10 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Bergeron; father, Nolan 
Cavalier; and two brothers, Roland and Timothy Cavalier.

He was the husband of Louisa Rebstock Orgeron; father of Teddy John Orgeron; 
brother of Eddie Orgeron and Mae Collins. He is also survived by three

He was preceded in death by his parents, Justiliena and Cesla Hymel Orgeron; 
three brothers, Percy, Mitch and Dave Orgeron; and a sister, Bridget Cheramie.

Thursday.

She was the daughter of Lucille Badeaux Gros; mother of Lisa Naquin and Gwen

survived by two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Felix Gros.

Vedros donated her body to the Louisiana State Anatomical Board.

Catholic Church in Lockport for Eve Benoit Caillouet, 84, a native of Lafourche 
Parish and resident of Mathews, who died at 10:35 p.m. Friday.

Interment was in the church cemetery.

She was the mother of Theresa C. Dufrene, Thelma C. Quatrevingt, Pamela C. 
Danos and Wilbert, Wilmer, Malcolm and Ronald Caillouet. She is also survived 
by 23 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney J. Caillouet; parents, 
Bernadette Bourgeois and Clemille Benoit; a son, Sidney J. Caillouet Jr.; and a 
brother, Lawrence Benoit.

She was a parishioner of St. Hilary of Poiters Catholic Church in Mathews and a 
member of the Ladies Altar Society and Council of Catholic Women.

grandchildren and 70 great-grandchildren.

Baptist Church in Belle Rose.

Samuel Belteau, 88, a native of Thibodaux and resident of Ocala, Fla., died 
Monday.

He was the father of Jeanne B. Esling of Ocala, Barbara Guidarelli of Chicago 
and Col. Robert J. Belteau of Charleston, S.C. He is also survived by nine 
grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

He belonged to the Episcopal faith, and was a member of the Chicago Chapter of 
the Laryngectomy Club (American Cancer Society) where he was active from 1964-
1980 and was a past president.

CLAUDE LESTRICK

A Memorial service will take place at 3 p.m. Saturday at Williams and Southall 
Funeral Home in Thibodaux for Claude Lestrick Sr., 63, a native of Thibodaux 
and resident of Seattle, Wash., who died Tuesday, Feb. 23.

He was the father of Claude Jr. and Tony Lestrick, both of Seattle, and Don 
Banks of LaPlace; brother of Evelyn Johnson of Thibodaux, Maple William and 
John Lestrick, both of Oakland, Calif., and Una Miles and Essie Frank, both of 
LaPlace; companion of Ruby Ross. He is also survived by three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Nelson and Vera Clark Lestrick; two 
sisters, Rosetta Gray and Irma Lestrick; and four brothers, Ernest, Edward, 
Welton and Author Lestrick.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph 
Church in Galliano for Ernest E. Moise, 31, a native of New Orleans and 
resident of Galliano who died at 12:05 p.m. Tuesday.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until Funeral time Thursday at the church.

Interment will be in the church cemetery.

He was the husband of Helen Cheramie Moise; father of Corine Moise Collins and 
Gail Moise Martin. He is also survived by six grandchildren and 11 great-
grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William B. and Ernestine Morton Moise; 
three brothers, George, William and Albert Moise; and a sister, Hilda Moise 
Cheramie. He was also preceded in death by a grandchild.

He was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church and a 4th degree Knight of 
Columbus.

A graveside service will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Sunlight Baptist 
Church Cemetery in Gheens for Devonta and Devon Verrett, stillborn infants, who 
died Tuesday, Feb. 23.

Mrs. Matthew Verrett of Raceland; siblings of Damiyahn and Taj Verrett.

Newalla, Okla., and resident of Napoleonville, who died at 10:10 a.m.

21 grandchildren.

Anthony Cheramie; step-father of Ronny, Margaret and Stacy Cheramie and Linda

Aglia Adams. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 13 great-
grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore and Edna Guidry Cheramie; a 
son, Clarence Cheramie; a stepdaughter, Christine Cheramie; brothers, Alcide, 
Azael, Eugene, Noel, Howell and Joseph Cheramie. He is also preceded in death 
by a granddaughter.
