He was the brother of Doris Orr of Lake Charles and Marie LeBlanc of Donaldsonville. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wallace Dupre and Josephine Clement Dupre Treille; a sister, Cecile Dupre; and two brothers, Roland and Richard Treille. Dupre taught school in Lafourche and Vermilion parishes and is a member of the Louisiana High School Athletic Association Hall of Fame. He was also a veteran of World War II and a member of Amercian Legion Derouen-Moss Post 279 in Erath.
