A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. today at St. Philomena 
Church in Labadieville for Edith Barras Bolotte, 83, a native and resident of 
Labadieville, who died at 6 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 1.

Burial was in the church cemetery.

She was the wife of Medric F. Bolotte; mother of Lloyd Bolotte, Ida Mae 
Blanchard, Audrey Latour and Brenda Amedee; sister of Eunice Daigle.  She is 
also survived by 13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Orville and Victoria Stevens Barras; 
brothers, Louis, Edwin, Joe and Jessie Barras; sisters, Myrtle LeBlanc, 
Florence Ohmer and Levie Swanton.

A funeral is scheduled for 3 p.m. today at Dartigo Church of God in Dartigo 
Community for Fred DeLong, 52, a native and resident of Dartigo Community, who 
died at 7:50 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 1.

Burial will be in Shady Grove Cemetery.

He was the husband of Carol Hebert DeLong, formerly of Schriever; father of 
Marvin and Richard DeLong, both of Colfax, and Tina Marie Knight of Bunkie; 
brother of Maxine Nugent of Polock, Myrtie Williams of Pineville, Margie Elwood 
of Arlington, Texas, and Robert and George DeLong, both of Colfax.  He is also 
survived by three grandchildren.

He was a retired logging contractor.

Catholic Church in Galliano for Orleans P. "Tom" Pitre, 77, a native and 
resident of Cut Off, who died at 9:20 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 1.

Visitation will be until funeral time today at the church.  Burial will be in 
Cheramie Cemetery in Galliano.

He was the husband of Adeline Pitre of Cut Off; father of Ricky Pitre of 
Louisville, Colo., and Tanya Schreiber of Houma; brother of Harris Pitre of Cut 
Off.  He is also survived by three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Lisa Adams Pitre; three 
brothers, Fedless, Edless and Loveless Pitre; and three sisters, Thea and 
Frances Guidry and Edola Gisclair.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of V.F.W.

She was the mother of Bert and Mike Crosby; sister of Mozina Gisclair and Judy 
Pitre.  She is also survived by four grandchildren and five great-
grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ellis Crosby; parents, Ernest Joseph 
and Vina Pitre Cantrelle; a brother, Percy Cantrelle; and two sisters, Viola 
Gisclair and Alidor Hebert.

She was the wife of Whitney A. Hebert; mother of Connie, Lucy, Tony, Huey Sr.

Bychurch and Marsha Bruce; sister of Norman, Harris, Whitney, Clifton and 
Sergent Dufren, Bessie D. Vedros and Rosemary and Jane Billiot.  She is also 
survived by 29 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harris and Lucia Plaisance Dufren; 
three sons, Weldon, Eldon Sr. and Keith Hebert; and a daughter, Carolyn Hebert; 
and a brother Herman B. Dufren.

Raceland for Laverne Rivers LaLande, 81, a native of Zwolle and resident of 
Raceland, who died at 11:55 a.m. Friday, Feb. 4.

Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery in Raceland.

She was the mother of JoAnn Allemand; sister of Ethel Peacock.  She is also 
survived by two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonce LaLande; and parents, Jeffery 
and Mary Webb Rivers.

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. today at St. Joseph 
Catholic Church in Galliano for Felix A. Lasseigne Jr., 82, a native of 
Labadieville and resident of Galliano, who died at 10:13 p.m. Friday, Feb. 4.

Burial was in Holy Savior Cemetery in Lockport.

He was the father of Edmond, Nolan, Bobby and Terry Lasseigne and Margie L. 
Guidry; brother of John, Arthur and Joseph Lasseigne.  He is also survived by 
22 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Eula Schouest Lasseigne; parents, Felix 
A. Sr. and Aline Davis Lasseigne; a son, Alfred Lasseigne; a brother Armond 
Lasseigne; five sisters, Anne L. Bourgeois, Zoe L. Leonard, Enola L. Champagne 
and Lucille L. and Victoria L. Hebert; and a grandchild.

Hubert Lafargue 

Hubert Lafargue died Sunday, Feb. 6, 1994

Lafargue, 87, was hospitalized in Shreveport at the Veteran's Administration 
Hospital.  

He retired from the United States Air Force after 34 years.  His duties took 
him to World War II, Germany, Alaska and the Pentagon.

Lafargue was sworn in as Lafourche Parish's district attorney in November 1948 
and practiced law with the late Sen. Harvey Peltier.

Lafargue was valedictorian of his class at Louisiana State University and 
received the Order of the Coif award at Tulane University where he received his 
law degree in 1934.

Lafargue is survived by his brother Lloyd Lafargue of Shreveport and a sister, 
Mary Porche of San Antonio, Texas.

A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 17, at St. Joseph Catholic 
Cemetery.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Christ the 
Redeemer Catholic Church in Thibodaux for Philomene Legendre Perk, 81, a native 
and resident of Chackbay, who died at 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 6.

be in Our Lady of Prompt Succor Cemetery in Chackbay.

She was the sister of Adley and Edith L. Legendre and Rosalie L. Trosclair.

Legendre.
