McIntire, 68, died Saturday, June 18, 1994 at 1:30 p.m. following a brief illness. He was president of Thibodaux Lumber and Concrete, his tenure with the firm dating to 1955. A native of Gibson and resident of Thibodaux, he was a graduate of Terrebonne High School and attended the University of Southwestern Louisiana and Louisiana State University. He is a past president of the Kiwanis club of Thibodaux and was active in the Knights of Columbus and the Woodmen of the World. An Army veteran of the Korean War, he was also a member of the American Legion. He was instrumental in establishing Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church in Thibodaux, serving on the building committee.
