Redeemer Church in Thibodaux for Ricardo "Richard" Carreras, 88, a native of 
Cuba and resident of Thibodaux, who died at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 1.

Visitation will be 8 a.m. to funeral time Friday at the church.

Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Thibodaux.

He was the father of Fred Carreras; brother of Rachel Barcenas. He is also 
survived by seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Francis Baggott Carreras; second 
wife, Theresa Carreras; both parents; a son, Richard Carreras; and a brother.

St. Hilary of Poitiers Catholic Church in Mathews for Nolan Leon Falgout, 73, a 
native of Gheens and resident of Raceland, who died at 6:30 a.m. today, June 1.

Visitation will be 8 a.m. to funeral time Thursday at the church.

Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Raceland.

He was the husband of Helen Naquin Falgout; father of Craig P. Falgout and 
Naomi F. Barrios; brother of Alice Comardelle Percle and Earline F. Dufrene. He 
is also survived by one grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Felix and Daisy Dufrene Falgout; a 
brother, Manny Falgout; and a sister, Verna Falgout.

He was a parishioner of St. Hilary of Poitiers and a U.S. Army veteran of World 
War II and a member of V.F.W. Post No. 3665 of Raceland. He was a retired 
employee of St. Anne Hospital with 20 years of service.

Catholic Church in Vacherie for Joseph Henry Isom Jr., 43, a native and 
resident of Vacherie, who died at 12:45 a.m. Wednesday, June 1.

Burial was in the church cemetery.

He was the husband of Betty Miller Isom of Vacherie; son of Joseph Henry Isom 
Sr. of Vacherie; brother of Terry Sr. and Yvonne Isom and Emily I. Steib, all 
of Vacherie.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Wood Isom.

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. today at St. Gertrude 
Catholic Church in Des Allemands for Odette Delaune Matherne, 83, a native of 
Patterson and resident of Des Allemands, who died at 1:10 a.m. Wednesday, June 
1.

Interment was in St. Gertrude Mausoleum.

She was the sister of Royal and Clarence Delaune. She is also survived by nine 
step-grandchildren and 18 step great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eloie Matherne; parents Joseph and 
Elodie Arceneaux Delaune; a son, Gene Dupre; and two sisters, Lillian Robichaux 
and Nolie Delaune.

Thibodaux for Eddie A. Naquin, 66, a native and resident of Thibodaux.

He was the husband of Vivian Chiasson Naquin; father of Barbara Naquin Lemmon 
and Iva-Mae Naquin Evans; brother of Raymond and Sidney Naquin Jr., Marie 
Stella Gros, Ann Naquin Himel and Lydia Naquin Fields. He is also survived by 
four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sidney Sr. and Leoncia Gros Naquin; 
three brothers, Russell, Lester and Norman Naquin; and two sisters, Iva-Mae and 
Effie Naquin.

She was the wife of Edward Rivet; mother of Michael Long and Diana Long and 
Pamela Cancienne; sister of Cecile Entzeminger and Lucille Fuselein. She is 
also survived by four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Blanche Robichaux 
Plaisance.

He was the husband of Shirley Legendre Rodrigue; son of Alfred and Therese 
Simon Rodrigue; father of Wayne, Erkle Jr., Linda and Stephen Rodrigue, Wanda 
Duplantis and Michele Thibodeaux; brother of Alfred Jr., Harold Sr. and Francis 
Rodrigue, Emily Waguespack and Therese Friederichsen. He is also survived by 
nine grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Beth Anne Rodrigue.

He was a parishioner of St. Phillip Catholic Church and a U.S. Army veteran of 
the Korean War. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and a Eucharistic 
Minister.

survived by six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by both parents, a sister, three brothers and a 
daughter.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of St. Benedict Council

Ellis Haughton of New Orleans. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 15 
great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Leonia Haughton Lamark; parents, the Rev. 
Henry W. Sr. and Fannie Adams Haughton; six brothers, Henry W. Jr., Alvin, 
George, James J., the Rev. Harold and Harry Haughton; and four sisters, 
Marthilda Haughton Davis, Fannie H. Ventrese, Calvie H. Ramdall and Helen Webb.

He was a member of Little Zion Primitrue Baptist Church in Los Angeles and a 
former member of New Belmont Baptist Church of Labadieville.

At 1:32 p.m. on Friday, June 17, 1994, Edmond R T. Marquette died following a 
lengthy illness. He was 87. 

He and his wife Alvira, had celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary June 8.

A graduate of Thibodaux College (a Catholic boys' school) in 1924 as 
valedictorian, he passed the Certified Public Accountant exam without the 
benefit of a college degree, though he did take courses at Tulane University 
and Columbia University in New York.

Marquette distinguished himself as a community leader. He was a founding member 
of Ellendale Country Club and instrumental in establishing the Terrebonne 
Historical Society.

Mass is scheduled for 1 p.m. Monday at the church with burial in St. Francis de 
Sales No. 2 cemetery.

John T. McIntire, 68, died Saturday, June 18, 1994 at 1:30 p.m. following a 
brief illness.

He was president of Thibodaux Lumber and Concrete, his tenure with the firm 
dating to 1955.

A native of Gibson and resident of Thibodaux, he was a graduate of Terrebonne 
High School and attended the University of Southwestern Louisiana and Louisiana 
State University.

He is a past president of the Kiwanis club of Thibodaux and was active in the 
Knights of Columbus and the Woodmen of the World. An Army veteran of the Korean 
War, he was also a member of the American Legion.

He was instrumental in establishing Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church in 
Thibodaux, serving on the building committee.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until funeral time Monday at Christ the 
Redeemer. Mass will be at 1 p.m. at the church with burial in St. Joseph 
Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Bessie Marcello McIntire; two sons, Joey and John
