A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred 
Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off for Ellia Terrebonne Chabert, 90, a native and 
resident of Cut Off, who died at 9:15 p.m. Saturday, April 1.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. to funeral time Wednesday at the church.

Burial will be in the church cemetery.

She was the mother of Elvis "Al" and Edwis Chabert, Emelia Pitre, Vivian Mayet, 
Nina Bourg and Dora Curole; sister of Lorena Martinez and Florita Blanchard. She 
is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and four great-
great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Chabert; parents, Pierre and 
Lolita Bruce Terrebonne; three brothers, Nestor, Bruce and Taft Terrebonne; four 
sisters, Florida and Liliska Blanchard, Eleanor Pregeant and Laura Terrebonne.

She was a member of the Ladies Altar Society.

Prompt Succor Church in Golden Meadow for Lena Gisclair Doucet, 67, a native of 
Cut Off and resident of Golden Meadow, who died at 7:48 p.m. Saturday, April 1.

Burial will be in Cheramie Cemetery in Galliano.

She was the wife of Freddie Joseph Doucet; mother of Joyce Eschette, Audrey Luke 
and Lois Oliver; legal guardian of Johnny Gisclair; sister of Jimmy Gisclair, 
Theresa Bychurch and Eula Terrebonne. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren 
and 19 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Brouger and Celeste Cheramie Gisclair; 
a brother, Leroy Gisclair; and two sisters, Rena Cheramie and Bernadette 
Gisclair.

She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church.

He was the husband of Velma Gros Mire; father of Bonnie Staten, Phyllis Baye and

Louise M. Triche of Lantana, Fla. He is also survived by four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Nicholas and Vermine Thibodeaux Mire;

He was the husband of Rose Verdin Gauthreaux of Grand Caillou; son of Ophelia 
Gauthreaux of Labadieville; father of Earl Gauthreaux of Houma, Paul Gauthreaux 
of Chalmette and Ruth Gauthreaux Chiasson of Golden Meadow; brother of Luciella, 
Wilbert, Roy and Norman Gauthreaux, all of Labadieville, Wilton Gauthreaux of 
Thibodaux and Felix Gauthreaux of Pierre Part. He is also survived by seven 
grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Alcide Gauthreaux Sr.; and three 
brothers, Alcide Jr., Lester and Claude Gauthreaux.

He was a retired fire chief for Terrebonne Parish Consolidated Government and a 
volunteer for the Grand Caillou Fire Department.

He was a parishioner of Holy Family Catholic Church and a member of the Holy 
Name Society.

great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney J. Nicholas; parents, Desire 
and Elmira Granier Larousse; a daughter, Lucy N. Reulet; three grandchildren, 
Corey Gautreaux, Danny Nicholas and Gerard Reulet; a brother, Felix Larousse; 
and two sisters, Euronie L. Martinez and Elmira L. Adams.

He was a retired principal, serving West Park Elementary School from 1949 to 
1974.

He was a member of St. Matthew Episcopal Church, Retired Teachers and AARP.

Edward Freche Jr.

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. today at Holy Savior 
Catholic Church in Lockport for Edward J. "Eddie" Freche Jr., 47, a native of 
New Orleans and resident of Lockport, who died of a brain tumor at 3:40 p.m. 
Thursday, April 6.

Burial was in the church cemetery.

He was the husband of Joyce B. Freche of Lockport; son of Ethel A. Freche of 
Lockport; father of Gina F. Chiasson, Debra F. Pierce and Brandy F. Lybarger, 
all of Lockport; brother of Terry "Bubba" Freche of Lockport and Bonnie F. 
Fonseca of Chalmette. He is also survived by four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Freche Sr.

He was a lifelong musician and was guitarist for the Neville Brothers, joining 
the band about a year ago. His work will be featured on the next Neville 
Brothers album.

Prior to joining the Neville's, he played in a variety of bands around South 
Louisiana including The Nobles and The Boogie Kings.

He was a parishioner of Holy Savior and served in the National Guard.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Adney Paul Samanie and Ernestine 
Hebert; and three sisters, Myrtle Ledet, Bridget Babin and Lena Daigle.

He was a parishioner of St. Louis Catholic Church and a veteran of the Korean 
War. He was a retired welder for Atlas Construction Company.

Assumption General Hospital.

She is the mother of Carol Rodrigue Didier and Diane Rodrigue Landry. She is 
also survived by three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lucien and Virginia Barrios Griffin; 
two brothers, Bruce Sr. and Webster Griffin Sr.; a sister, Bertha Griffin; and a 
son, Ryan A. Rodrigue.

She was a long-time resident of Donaldsonville and recently Heritage Manor of 
Napoleonville.

Williams, Emma Brown and Bessie Joseph all of Schriever; devoted friend of Pearl 
Brown of Houma. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and three great 
grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by parents, Richard Sr. and Mabel Walker Parker; a son, 
Rudolph Parker; two daughters, Jean and Jeanette Parker; three brothers, Willie, 
Leo and Clarence; and a sister, Mabel E. Parker.

Parker was of the Baptist faith. He was a World War II veteran and a retired 
truck driver for the City of Thibodaux.
