"He was a brilliant young man," Autin said, "He would have been 50 in May." Autin worked with Boughamer under Sheriff Duffy Breaux before joining him at the indigent defender's office in December 1993, where Boughamer worked as an investigator. "Bob had a good personality," he said. "Once you met him, he was the kind of person that you wouldn't have forgotten." Autin said Boughamer was an asset to the community with his involvement with the church and the South Lafourche area. "I am sure the people of Ward 10 are going to miss Bob," he said.
