A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Rosary 
Catholic Church in Hahnville for Roland "Goat" Champagne Sr., 72, a native of 
Luling and resident of Hahnville, who died at 9:10 p.m. Friday, March 1.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. to funeral time Tuesday at the church.

Burial will be in Holy Rosary Cemetery in Taft.

He was the father of Roland Jr., Terry and Mickey Champagne, Linda Walters and 
Sandra Dunston; brother of Sidney "Pete, Charles and Gerald Champagne, Joyce 
Gendron, Mildren Besson and Carol Sanchez. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren 
and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Maria Muller Champagne; parents, Walter and 
Marie Gendron Champagne; and a brother, Billy Champagne.

He was a parishioner of Holy Rosary.

Henri Cenac

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at 11 a.m. today at St. Francis de 
Sales Co-Cathedral in Houma for Henri Philippe Cenac, 17, a native and resident 
of Houma, who died at 4:15 a.m. Saturday, March 2.

Burial was in St. Francis de Sales No. 2 Cemetery.
He was the son of Dr. Christopher Everette Cenac Sr. and Monique Ellender of 
Houma; brother of Christopher Everette Cenac Jr., of New Orleans and Sarah 
Louise Cenac of Fort Worth, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dr. Henry and Mercedes Richard 
Ellender and Dr. Philip and Dorothy Lee Stodghill Cenac.

He was a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales and a student at Vandebilt Catholic 
High School.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 2 p.m. today at Our Lady of 
Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Chackbay for Joseph M. "Joe" Martin, 73, a native 
and resident of Chackbay, who died at 9:30 p.m. Saturday, March 2.

Burial will be in the church cemetery.

He was the husband of Hulela R. "Cadda" Martin; father of Mary Lou Martin 
Martinolich; brother of Ada and Esther Rodrigue, Nellie Gross and Lena Mae 
Blanchard. He is also survived by four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Camelia Trosclair Martin; 
two brothers, Frank and Wilbert Martin; and two sisters, Gertrude Chiasson and 
Elma Diaz.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a retired doctor's assistant at 
Thibodaux Hospital.

A religious service took place at 8 p.m. Sunday at St. Phillip Baptist Church in 
Labadieville for Bessie Mitchell, 65, a native of Labadieville and resident of 
Thibodaux, who died Saturday, March 2.

Dismissal was at 11 a.m. today, and burial was in the church cemetery.

The Rev. James Williams officiated.

She was the mother of Ruth Mitchell and Mary Gray; sister of Jessie Jackson, 
Audrey and Jacqueline Johnson, Mary Porter, Laura Hollaway, Linda West and Donna 
Smith. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Irving and Mary Bates Cheatham; a son, 
Calvin Mitchell; seven brothers, Albert, Davie, John, Melvin, Raymond, James Carol 
and Irving Cheatham; and two sisters, Anna Belle Edmond and Mary Othis.

of Lockport for Albert Jessie Badeaux Sr., 66, a native of Larose and resident 
of Lockport, who died at 8:05 p.m. Sunday, March 3.

Visitation will be 5 to 10 p.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. to funeral time Thursday at 
the funeral home.

grandchildren.

Linton and Emile Cantrelle Jr., Elnora Bychurch, Eva Savoie, Ruby Bradford, 
Gladys Ledet and Frances Plaisance. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 
two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Emile and Bertha Callahan Cantrelle; a

a.m. to funeral time Wednesday at the church.

He was the husband of Elda Griffin Hebert; father of Steven M. Hebert of Des 
Allemands, Lawrence J. Hebert of Montgomery, Texas, and Douglas J. Hebert of 
Houma; brother of Mrs. Horris (Delores) Grifin of Lockport, Woodrow and Herman 
Hebert, both of Marrero, James Hebert of Houma and Bertram Hebert of Larose. He 
is also survived by four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Pavie and Georgina Savoie Hebert; two 
sisters, Mrs. Duffy (Enola) Bouvier and Mrs. Alexie (Norma) Martin; and two 
brothers, Norman and Wilfred Hebert.

He was a parishioner of St. Bernadette and Our Lady of the Rosary. He was a 
U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and was a member of Knights of Columbus 
Council 1317 and the American Legion. He was an usher at St. Bernadette and was 
an employee of Republic Supply in Houma for 42 years.

Cheramie, 86, a native of Leeville and resident of Golden Meadow, who died at 
3:02 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5.

She was the mother of John and Lorraine Cheramie and Anna Mae C. Lafont; sister 
of Anna Belle C. Curole. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 19 great-
grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Levy Cheramie; parents, Lelah Vizier 
and Ulyss Callais Sr.; a son, Harold Cheramie; a daughter, Merita Doucet; two 
brothers, Ulyss Jr. and Theo Callais; a sister, Rita C. Callais; and two 
grandchildren.

Fire Station for Phillip Claude Naquin, 65, a native of Terrebonne Parish and 
resident of Pointe aux Chenes, who died at 7 a.m. Tuesday, March 5.

Visitation will be until 10 p.m. today and 8 a.m. to funeral time Thursday at 
the fire station.

Burial will be in Bisland Cemetery.

He was the husband of Ester Chaisson Naquin of Pointe aux Chenes; father of

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Anna Mae Chaisson Naquin; parents, 
Manuel and Hattie Naquin; and a son, Russell Naquin.

Alida F. Breaux and Aline F. Saucier.

She was the companion of M.J. Miller of Galliano; mother of Patrick Falgout of 
Houma and Harold 'Pete" Jr. and Charles Falgout Sr., both of Galliano; sister of 
Gladys Simoneaux, Girlis McCartney, Sadie Dantin and Rosemary Allemand. She is 
also survived by four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Euphroisie Ledet and Raphael J. 
Galiano; brothers, Amy, Lipton, Floyd Sr. and Royce Galiano.

Mae Davis King, 56, a native of Lafourche Parish and resident of Thibodaux, who 
died at 9 a.m. Thursday, March 7.

Dismissal was at 11 a.m. today, and burial was in Moses Cemetery.

She was the daughter of Leola Royal Davis of Thibodaux; mother of Carla, Wayne 
and Shirley Davis, Patricia Stafford and Leola Adams, all of Thibodaux, and 
Joyce St. Julien of Kaplan; sister of Walter Davis Jr. of Tampa, Fla., Wilbert 
and Edward Davis and Clara Robinson, all of Thibodaux. She is also survived by 
11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Walter Davis Sr.; a daughter, Gail M. 
Davis; two brothers, James C. Thomas and Harold C. Davis; and a granddaughter, 
Antoinette Davis.

She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist and a member of the Usher Board.

He is also survived by seven grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, one

He was preceded in death by his parents, Severas and Procla Falgoust Marse; and 
two brothers, Leonard and Severas Marse Jr.

He was a member of the Vacherie V.F.W Post, American Legion and Woodmen of the 
World. He was also a fiddle player and member of a local Cajun band.

Thibodaux.

He was preceded in death by is wife, Denice J. Joseph; parents, Arthur and Sarah 
Joseph Rounds; a stepdaughter, Dorothy Henderson; and two brothers, Chester and 
Clarence Joseph.

He was a retired member of Local 300, AFL-CIO Laborers International Union of 
North America.

She was a 1944 graduate of Thibodaux High School and taught music in schools in 
Lafourche and Lafayette parishes. She retired in 1985. She was a member of the 
Parish and State Retired Teachers Organization. She was a member of First 
Baptist Church and participated in Sunday School, the choir, WMU and the senior 
adult choir.
