He was the husband of Maggie C. Gaus; father of Dilar Clauss, Monse Eldon, Carmen Marlbrough and Alex and Mark Gaus. He is also survived by one grandchild. He was a native of Lancaster, Pa., and moved to South Louisiana in 1958 after service in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a retired superintendent with J.
