Graveside services are scheduled for 4:30 p.m. today at St Gertrude Cemetery in 
Des Allemands for Jude Joseph Fonseca, infant, who died at 5 a.m. Oct 1, 1997.

His parents were Herman (Buddy) Fonseca, Jr. and Danielle D. Fonseca. He was 
survived by a brother, Matthew, and two sisters, Lori and Michelle.

Catholic Church in Raceland for Ophelia Lawson Foret, 85, a native of Houma and 
resident of Raceland, who died at 11:21 a.m. Oct 1, 1997.

Visitation will be 8 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland.

Burial will be in the church cemetery.

She was the mother of Geraldine Matranga; step-mother of Joyce Foret Rabalais 
and Dennis Foret.  She is also survived by five grandchildren, five step-
grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and nine step-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis P. Foret; parents, Dennis and 
Alida Bergeron Lawson; and a brother, Ellis Lawson.

He was the husband of Minta Acosta Perrere; father of Dr. Donald J. Perrere,

grandchild and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Matilda Rivere Perrere; a 
stepbrother; and two sisters.

in Thibodaux for Murray Calvin Reed Sr., a native and resident of Thibodaux,

He was the husband of Bessie W. Reed of New Orleans; father of Murray C. Reed

Reed, all of Thibodaux, and Alvera Hampton of Harvey.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Almeter Reed; three 
brothers, Taylor Reed, James Reed and LinRoy Reed; and one sister, Ophelia 
Celestine.

He was a United States Navy veteran and a member of the Raymond Stafford 
American Legion Post 513.

Gilbert "Gil" Terrebonne

Former Golden Meadow Alderman and longtime owner of Golden Meadow Cleaners 
Gilbert "Gil" Terrebonne died Oct 2 at his home of natural causes.

Terrebonne, 80, had been a lifelong resident of Golden Meadow.

He served as alderman for 16 years beginning in 1961 and also was mayor pro 
tempore at one time, said his grandson Brian Terrebonne.

Terrebonne was a member of the Golden Meadow Rotary Club and the Knights of 
Columbus #9000.

Gilbert Terrebonne is survived by his wife, Helen; a sister, Vivian Lefort; a 
brother, Alidore; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian burial was held at 2 p.m. today at Our Lady of Prompt 
Succor Church in Golden Meadow. Burial was in the church cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Helen St. Pierre Terrebonne; a brother, Alidore 
Terrebonne; a sister, Vivian Lefort; four grandchildren and seven great-
grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Anatole and Victoria Ganbrella 
Terrebonne; two sons. Gilbert Terrebonne Jr. and Kearney Terrebonne; two 
brothers, Alzia Terrebonne and Paris Terrebonne; a stepbrother, Lawrence 
Terrebonne; two sisters, Adorida Anselmi and Rosa Jean Anselmi; and a 
stepsister. Clemonce Guidry.

Graveside services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St Philomena Cemetery for 
Henry Grady Hurd, 71, a native of Dante, Va., and resident of Labadieville, who 
died at 5 a.m. Oct 3, 1997.

He was the father of Henry Jr., Bobby, Frank, and Kenneth Hurd, Carol Ann 
Bourgeois, Dawn Marie Westberry, and Joyce Quessenberry; brother of Lawrence 
Hurd, Lois Keith, Joann Keith and Wilma McCellan. He is also survived by eight 
grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Loredia Naquin Hurd; and his parents, 
Joseph and Leona Corty Hurd.

Religious services were held at 10 a.m. today at Community Assembly of God 
Church in Bayou Gauche for Fannie Frickey Keller, 65, a native of Bayou Gauche 
and resident of Hahnville, who died at 11:50 p.m. Oct 3,1997.

Burial was in Sunset Cemetery in Bayou Gauche.

She was the husband [wife] of Carroll Keller Sr.; the mother of Carroll Keller 
Jr., Carrie Dejean and Holly Raffray; and the sister of Eugene and Edgar "Mack" 
Frickey. She is also survived by two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Pauline Dufrene Frickey; 
and a brother, RJ. Frickey, Sr.

Tuesday at St Louis Catholic Church in Bayou Blue for Tracy James Levron, 26, a 
native and resident of Houma, who died Oct 3, 1997.

He was the son of Kenneth John and Peggy Jo Falgout Levron; the grandson of 
Berwick Levron Sr., Jerry and Jean Falgout and the brother of Billy Levron.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother Adda Levron.

She was the wife of Ivy Martin; the mother of Yvonne Kyle and Wanda Moreland;

Bergeron Hernandez.

Celestine Smith Washington; sons, Benny Jr. and Ricky Holmes; daughter Ethel 
Mae Holmes; brothers, George Washington and Benny Bush, and sister Mamie "Red" 
Duncan.

ten grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.

Bishop Warren Boudreaux

Bishop Warren Louis Boudreaux, the first bishop of the Houma-Thibodaux diocese, 
died of heart failure following a prolonged illness at 5:50 a.m. Monday.(Oct 6, 
1997) He was 79.

Boudreaux led the diocese from its establishment in 1977 until his retirement 
in 1992.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Church in 
Morgan City, with evening prayer at 7 p.m. 

Visitation will be held from 8 a.m. to noon Wednesday at Sacred Heart Church in 
Cut Off with office of readings at 9 a.m. and 4 to 8 p.m. at St. Joseph Co-
Cathedral in Thibodaux with vigil for the deceased at 7 p.m.

Visitation will be held from 7 a.m. until funeral time Thursday at St Francis 
de Sales Cathedral in Houma, with a 9 a.m. prayer. Mass of Christian Burial 
will be held at 2 p.m. at St Francis de Sales, with internment in the Bishop's 
Crypt in the Cathedral.

Boudreaux was born Jan. 25 1918 in Berwick.

He was ordained a priest May 30, 1942 and a served as assistant pastor in 
Crowley, vice chancellor of the Diocese of Lafayette from 1946-54, officials of 
the Lafayette diocese from 1949-54, pastor of St Peter's Church in New Iberia 
from 1954-71, vicar-general of the Diocese of Lafayette from 1957-71, diocesan 
counselor from 1957-71, dean of the New Iberia Deanery from 1954-71.

Bishop Boudreaux was appointed Titular Bishop of Calynda and auxiliary bishop 
of Lafayette on May 19, 1962 and was consecrated July 25, 1962. He served in 
that capacity for the diocese until June 4, 1971, when he was appointed bishop 
of Beaumont, Texas.

He was installed first bishop of the Dioceses of Houma-Thibodaux on June 5, 
1977. He retired in December 1992.

Thibodaux, who died at 10:15 p.m. Oct 6, 1997.

He was the husband of Nobie Benoit Guillot; and the brother of Emily Pitre, 
Pearl Oncale and Ora Roundtree.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Adelaide Richard Guillot; 
his brothers, Murphy, Gilbert, Claude, Albert, and Abley Guillot; and his 
sisters, Mable Clausing, Irene Foret, Alma Moloison and Odessa Andras.

Torres and Susan Addenhoffer; her daughter Alice Good; her brother Antoine 
Ducos, and her sisters Grace Anderson and Edith Steel.

She was the wife of Johnny Johnson; mother of Denia and Wendell Johnson, both 
of Napoleonville, and Marvin and Kevin Johnson, both of San Jose, Calif.; 
sister of Raymond Jones of Omaha, Neb., Vernon Jones of Labadieville, Roland 
Jones of Richmond, Calif., and Virgious J. Brown of Napoleonville. She is also 
survived by 12 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Nolan and Ida Enola Jones; and two 
brothers, Kermit and Kenneth Jones.

Catholic Church in Bayou Black for Milton Babin, 57, a native and resident of 
Houma, who died at 3:40 a.m. Oct 10, 1997.

Burial was in St. Francis de Sales No. 2 Cemetery.

He was the husband of Charlene Derrick Babin; son of Thelma Babin of Houma; 
father of Staff Sgt Troy Michael Babin of Fort Bragg, N.C., Deborah Ann Babin 
of Thibodaux and Patricia Lynn Galliano of Leesville; brother of Carroll Babin 
and Marion Galliano, both of Houma. He is also survived by three grandchildren 
and one step-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his father, Youance Babin; a sister, Sharon Babin 
Pierce; and grandparents, Joseph and Modest Olivier Babin and Peter and Emma 
Eschete Bergeron.

He was the proprietor of B&G Wash and Paint.  He was a member of the Knights of 
Columbus and a U.S. Air Force veteran.

Herman "T-Man" Robichaux who spent 50 years as a funeral home attendant with 
Falgout Funeral Home died Tuesday. (Died 27 Oct 1997)

He was 70.

During his 50 years with Falgout Funeral Home, Robichaux tended to the needs of 
many of area's residents. He began in 1943 by washing and greasing the 
ambulance used by Falgout. He started driving the ambulance after a year until 
the mid 1960s. Robichaux shared a bond with the funeral home's clients. He 
helped develop a certain trust with the people he dealt with.

Before the Thibodaux and Houma areas had their own hospitals, Robichaux was 
forced to make many trips to New Orleans in the 1940s and '50s. He also saw 
many changes in the funeral industry and the way services are conducted.

Robichaux was a member of American Legion Post 349, V.F.W Post 3665, Forty and 
Eight Woodmen of the World Lodge 664, the Raceland Fire Department and the 
Grand Marshal Club.

He was the husband of Iris Thibodaux Robichaux; father of Gregory, Bryon and 
Ronald Robichaux; brother of Milton and Irvin "T U" Robichaux, Velma Mayet and 
Verna Madere. He is also survived by six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Merille and Cerita Babin Robichaux; a 
son, Michael Robichaux; and a brother, Huey Robichaux.

He was the husband of Vivian Guillot; father of Mickey Guillot Griffin; brother 
of Jerry Guillot and Genevieve Guillot Amedee. He is also survived by two 
grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Jay Guillot; and his parents, Clifton Sr. 
and Gertie Breaux Guillot.

Catholic Church in Dulac for Denise "Sissy" Parfait, 21, a native of Houma and 
resident of Dulac, who died at 4:25 a.m. Oct 30, 1997.

Burial was in the church cemetery.

She was the wife of Sergio Billiot Sr.; daughter of Jerry and Mary Solet 
Parfait; mother of Sergio Jr. and Hailey Billiot; sister of Jerald, Timmy, 
Eric, Kellie and Bradley Parfait, Sylvia Robinson and Justine Fazzio.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Enest and Ophelie Solet and 
Jerry and Stella Parfait; two brothers, Steven and Anthony Parfait; and an 
infant sister.

A religious service is scheduled for 8 p.m. today at Moses Baptist Church in 
Thibodaux for Joseph Robinson Jr., a native and resident of Thibodaux, who died 
at 4:50 p.m. Oct. 30, 1997, at Thibodaux Regional Medical Center.

Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. today at the church.

Dismissal will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, and burial will be in the church cemetery.

Pastor Lloyd Jones Jr. will officiate. 

He was the husband of Pearl Johnson Robinson of Thibodaux; father of Wilma 
Holland of Japan and Gloria Dickerson of New Orleans; brother of Leonard 
Robinson of Thibodaux. He is also survived by four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Sr. and Julia Robinson; three 
brothers, Alvin, Roland and Charley Robinson; and two sisters, Elvina 
Broomfield and Florence Richardson.

He was a U.S. Army veteran and served on the Usher Board at Moses Baptist. His 
hobby was woodworking.

Church in Bogalusa for William C. Simm Sr., a native of Sumrall, Miss., and

A private burial will follow.

He was the husband of Marjorie Norman Simm; father of Michael, Jimmy and 
William "Bill" Simm Jr.; brother of Alfred Simm, Elsie LeBlanc and Hilda 
Henson. He is also survived by five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Anna Simm; a brother, 
Robert Simm Jr.; and two sisters, Anna Strain and Mary Simm.

He was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was also a U.S. Navy-veteran and 
a retired retail store owner.

Church in Galliano for Carrie Guidry Leonard, 71, a native and resident of

She was the mother of Brian and Karla Leonard and Mitzi Cody, sister of Mabry 
and Pershing Guidry and Mary Sherman. She is also survived by three

Guidry; four brothers, Hector, Torris, Clovis and Nester Guidry; and three

A funeral took place at noon today at Masonic Lafourche Lodge No. 427 in 
Galliano for Augustin "AJ" Orgeron, 70, a native of Lafourche Parish and 
resident of Galliano, who died at 5 p.m. Oct 31, 1997.

Burial was in Cheramie Cemetery in Galliano.

He was the husband of Theresa Perez Orgeron; father of Wayne and Alan Orgeron, 
Christine Salinas and Wanda Willis; stepfather of Joe Salinas and Johnna 
Willis; brother of Edmond and Ramone Orgeron. He is also survived by 19 
grandchildren and four, great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Racheal Ledet Orgeron; two 
brothers, Ness and Aldolph Orgeron; and three sisters, Enola, Agnes and Emelda 
Orgeron.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving in the Philippines. He 
worked in the oilfield for 15 years and retired as top sales representative 
from Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. after 28 years of service.

He was a member of Lafourche Lodge No. 427 for 32 years and a member of Bayou 
Fellowship Lodge No. 484, the Lafourche Shrine Club and the Lions Club.

survived by seven grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Coledon and Leon Callahan Jr.; and a
