Sanders J. "Sandy" Falgout, Jr. 59, a native of Raceland and resident of 
Sylvester, Ga., died at 12:55 p.m. October 30, 2003.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Hilary 
of Poitiers Catholic Church in Mathews with burial at St. Mary's Nativity 
Catholic Church Cemetery in Raceland.

He is survived by his wife, Janine Mary Adams Falgout of Sylvester; son, 
Sanders J. "Joey" Falgout, III of Sylvester; daughter, Tammy Marie Falgout 
Morrison of New Orleans; mother, Yvonne Matherne Falgout Toups of Raceland; 
sister, Peggy Falgout Arabie of Mathews; and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Sanders J. "Pep" Falgout Sr. of 
Raceland.

Francis Gros Sr.

Francis "Frank" Gros Sr., 70, a native of Labadieville, died at 1:30 p.m. Nov. 
28, 2003.

A memorial service was held at 1 p.m. today at St. Philomena Catholic Church in 
Labadieville.

His body was donated to science.

He is survived by his sons, Francis, Thomas, Johnny and Kevin Gros Sr.; 
daughter, Elaine; brother, Ececlid "Kip" Gros; former wife, Lorraine Arcement 
Gros; and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clovis and Andrea Gros; brothers, 
Emile, Arsene, Clay "Nook," Clovis Jr., Jack, Chester and Dewey Gros; sisters, 
Emily Thibodaux and Helen Boudreaux.

Mabel Bonvillain

Mabel Dorothy Bonvillain, 88, a native of Thibodaux and resident of New 
Orleans, died Nov. 30, 2003.

A religious service was held at 11 a.m. today at St. John the Evangelist Church 
in Thibodaux, with burial at the church cemetery.

She is survived by her son, Joseph A. Bonvillain; daughter, Irma Dufrene; 
brother, Sidney Bonvillain; sisters, Earlene Bonvillain and Delta Savan; nine 
grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Justillien and Marie Leray Bonvillain; 
and daughter, Mary Garranger.

Elvine Pellegrin Hotard, 93, a native of Chauvin and resident of Houma, died at 
6:10 p.m. Nov. 30, 2003.

A memorial service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday at St. Matthew's Episcopal 
Church in Houma.

She is survived by her daughters, Melaine H. Waite and Janis H. Songy; three 
grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur R. Hotard; parents, Sylvain and 
Marguerite P. Pellegrin; brothers, Octave, Leon, Francis, Luther, Connely and 
Habby Pellegrin; and sisters, Josephine, Rose, Elda, Seraphine and Clara

Lawrence Myles, 68, a native of Klotzville and resident of Monroe, died Nov. 30, 
2003.

Home in Napoleonville. A religious service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the 
funeral home, with burial at St. Augustine Catholic Cemetery in Klotzville.

He is survived by his sisters, Vera Williams of New Orleans, Norma Patterson and 
Martha Carter of Paincourtville, Patricia Myles of Kenosha, Wis., and Janice 
Henry of Bloomington, Ill.; brothers, Clarence Myles of Paincourtville, Allen and 
Wayne Myles of Baton Rouge and Kevin Myles of Colorado Springs, Colo; and 
stepmother, Dorothy Myles.

He was preceded in death by his parents Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Myles Sr.; brother,

Marguerite "Verna" Guillot Gaudet, 64, a native and resident of Thibodaux, died 
Dec. 1, 2003.

Thibodaux Funeral Home in Thibodaux. A Mass of Christian burial will be 
celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home chapel, with burial at St.

She is survived by her husband, Tilton P. Gaudet; son, Tilton P. Gaudet Jr.; 
daughters, Melinda Ridley and Laurie Blanchard; brother, Harry Guillot; 
sisters, Elise Adams, Lucille Boudreaux; Yvonne Crochet and Louisa Foret; and 
grandchildren, Steven and Amanda Ridley, Louis Ledet III and Rumsey Gaudet.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert J. and Hilda Ordoyne Guillot; 
and brothers, Adelie and Antoine "Elie" Guillot.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Rogers

Bourgeois; and his brother, Jeremie Paul Bourgeois.

Lionel Harris, 50, a native of Centerville, Miss., and resident of Thibodaux, 
died Dec. 2, 2003.

Raceland. A religious service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with 
burial at Morristown Benevolent Cemetery in Raceland.

He is survived by his wife, Janice Hamilton Harris of Raceland; sons, Lionel Royal 
and Timothy Royal of Lockport, and LeVar Hamilton of Raceland; daughters, Janelle 
McNabb, Tahona Hamilton, and Jaset Harris of Raceland, and Tora Short of Gibson; 
brothers, Dennis Williams of Mathews, James Harris of Lockport, Robert Harris of 
Raceland, Joseph and Moses Harris of Baton Rouge; sisters, Shirley Day of

She is survived by her husband of 60 wonderful years, Ruben Lynch Torr; two

Garcille of Lafayette; two sisters, Theresa Guillot and husband, Fred, of 
Houma, and Marie Elise Landry of New Orleans; two grandchildren, Amanda 
Elizabeth Garcille and fiance', Steve Jackson of Atlanta, and Christopher 
Michael Coyle and wife, Amanda, of Cypress, Texas; and two great-grandchildren, 
Wyatt Coyle of Cypress, and Chloe Jackson of Atlanta.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Adelard Landry and Odette LeBlanc

Ivory Jolevare, 87, a native and resident of Napoleonville, died Dec. 4, 2003.

Catholic Church in Bertrandville. A religious service will be held at 11 a.m. 
Wednesday at the church, with burial at the church cemetery.

He is survived by his sister, Louella Poret of New Orleans.

He enjoyed playing music and was the organist for many years at St Benedict, 
St. Augustine and St. Catherine Catholic churches.

Williams and Southall Funeral Home of Napoleonville is in charge of

Angeline Marie LaGarde, 88, a native of Gheens and resident of Thibodaux, died 
at 1 p.m. Dec. 4, 2003.

Landry's Funeral Home in Thibodaux. A Mass of Christian burial will be 
celebrated at noon Saturday at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, with 
burial at St. Joseph Cemetery.

She is survived by her brother, C.J. "Buster" LaGarde; and numerous nieces and 
nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hilarin and Josephine Masson LaGarde; 
brothers, Buddy, Frank, Ruben and Mason LaGarde; and sister, Marguerite 
Lagarde.

Harry J. Shepherd Jr., 75, a native of New Orleans and resident of Houma, died 
at 2:40 p.m. Dec. 4, 2003.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. today at the Kingdom Hall of 
Jehovah's Witnesses on Prospect Street in Houma. He will be cremated.

He is survived by his wife, Lenore Savoie Shepherd; step-sons, David Lee Delger 
and Carey Wayne Delger; stepdaughters, Carol D. Dison and Deanna D. Blume; 10 
step-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry J. Shepherd Sr.

Walter "Buster" Hendrix Sr., 89, a native of Waynesville, N.C., and resident of 
Lockport, died at 10:15 a.m. Friday, Dec. 5, 2003.

Visitation will be from 5 to 10 p.m. Sunday and from 8 a.m. to funeral time 
Monday at Falgout Funeral Home in Lockport. Masonic services will be at 10 a.m. 
Monday at the funeral home, with burial in Holy Savior Cemetery in Lockport.

He is survived by his wife, Helen Lagarde Hendrix; four sons, Robert Gilbert 
Hendrix, Walter Lee Hendrix Jr., Wayne Lee Hendrix and Wade Lee Hendrix; three 
daughters, Billie Jones, Claudine Bruce Hernandez and Wendy Lee Randazzo; one 
sister, Melinda Swangers; 16 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and three 
great-great-grandchildren.

Dec. 5, 2003, at the Glenwood Regional Medical Center in West Monroe.

Charles, officiated by the Rev. Ty Van Nguyen, with burial at St Charles 
Catholic Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Dianne Tolbert Pitre of Columbia; daughters, 
Darlene Pitre Arceneaux and her husband, Dwain, and Charlene Rodrigue and her 
husband, Brent, all of Thibodaux; sons, Raymond Pitre of Baton Rouge, and 
Ronald Pitre and his wife, Ray Ann Arabie Pitre, of Thibodaux; stepdaughter, 
Tonya Shipp and her husband, Roger, of Hebert; stepson, David Crain of Grayson; 
brothers, Norris, Hector, Leo and Sherman Pitre; sisters, Irene Gros, Alterine
