The date preceding the obituary is the date of posting on the WWW, not the date of death. ================================ August 20. 2004 11:56AM Hilda Remy [Photo] Hilda Marie Crowley Remy, 95, a native of New York, former resident of Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire and Florida, and resident of Lockport, died at 1:15 a.m. Aug. 20, 2004. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at Chapel of the Monastery of the Heart of Jesus in Lockport, with burial at a family plot in Massachusetts. She is survived by her grandchildren, Richard, Albert and Robert Cannon, Kenneth and Meredith Quinn. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald A. Remy; parents, William H. and Anna M. Crowley; son, Albert W. Remy; daughter, Sister Marie-Therese, O.P.; brothers, William H. Jr. and James Crowley; sisters, Anna M. Crowley Carter and Julia A. Crowley Talbot; and granddaughter, Elizabeth Rose Remy. She was a devoted wife and mother, teacher of cathechism and the first perpetually professed member of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Chapter of Dominican Laity. Donations to the Dominican Contemplative Sisters of Lockport or the Bayou Region Hospice of Houma are preferred. Falgout Funeral Home of Lockport is in charge of arrangements.
