Jay Nicholas

Jay Baptiste Nicholas, 86, a native of Taft and resident of Luling, died at 2:09 
p.m. Aug. 22, 2004.

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at noon today at St. Anthony Catholic 
Church in Luling, with burial at St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery in Destrehan.

He is survived by his wife, Cecile Bergeron Nicholas; son, Brian Nicholas; 
sisters, Lydia Bergeron and Julia Tastet.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jean Baptiste and Regina Champagne 
Nicholas; and sisters, Lena Russo, Irene Horn and Inez Hickey.

He was a lifetime member of VFW Post 3750 and the American Legion Post 131 of 
Luling.

Falgout Funeral Home of Raceland is in charge of arrangements.
