Visitation will be 4 to 9 p.m. today and 9 to 11 a.m. Friday at St. Louis Church in Bayou Blue. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at the church, with burial at St. Louis Cemetery in Bayou Blue. She is survived by her husband, Claude J. Orgeron Jr.; sons, Timothy Sr. and Steven Orgeron; daughters, Emily Ann Matherne and Michelle Pierce Ortiz; brothers, Henry, Gilbert and Gibson Buquet; sisters, Alice Lopez and Delphine Woolesy; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, Enest J. and Emily J. Pierce Buquet; an infant daughter; and a great-grandchild, Abigail Rene; Williams. She was Catholic. She was a member of Empress of Octavia in Gretna. She enjoyed crocheting and casinos. She collected jewelry and dolls. Donations to the family are preferred.
