Onezime Becnel

Onezime "Nip" Joseph Becnel, 71, a native and resident of Vacherie, died Aug. 
27, 2004.

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at 11 a.m. today at Our Lady of Peace 
Catholic Church in Vacherie, with burial at the church mausoleum.

He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Maureen B. and Neil Rome, Ellen 
B. and Rodney Folse and Melissa B. and Barry Cazanave; son and daughter-in-law, 
Keith and Liz Becnel; sisters, Madeline B. Oubre, Agnes B. Oubre, Mary B. 
Matherne, Maria B. Percle, Elaine B. Naquin and Rosalyn B. Arcement; brothers, 
Robert Becnel and John Becnel Jr.; and nine grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Pamela Granier Becnel; parnets, John R. 
Becnel Sr. and Elodia Ocmand Becnel; sisters, Marjorie B. Chapaton and Susan 
Becnel; and grandson, Michael Folse.

Ourso Funeral Home of Donaldsonville is in charge of arrangements.
