Stella Belanger					[Photo]

Stella Rhodes Belanger, 84, a native of New Orleans and resident of Houma, died 
at 7:50 p.m. Aug. 25, 2004.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Chauvin Funeral Home in Houma and 9 
to 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Bernadette Catholic Church.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, 
with burial at St. Francis de Sales No. 2 Cemetery.

She is survived by her daughters, Kay Bunn, Ellen Belanger of Houma, Sue 
Belanger Canalizo of New Orleans, Mary Belanger Anderson; sister, Madeline 
Callahan of Houma; 12 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Julius Paul Belanger; parents, Ellis 
and Mary Walker Rhodes; brothers, Irvin and Ellis Rhodes; sisters, Gertrude 
Palmeri and Mary Perkins; and great-grandson, Joshua Paul Bunn.

She was a retired bookkeeper with Lincoln Big Three, was a Girls Scout Troop 
leader, a Brownie Troop leader, a 4-H instructor and Catechism teacher.

She was a parishioner of St. Bernadette Catholic Church.

Chauvin Funeral Home of Houma is in charge of arrangements.
