Walter Ziegler						[Photo]

Walter "Bootie" Ziegler, 67, a native of New Orleans and resident of Chauvin, 
died at 4:30 p.m. Aug. 2, 2004.

Visitation will be 4 to 10 p.m. Thursday and 8 to 10 a.m. Friday at the KC Hall 
in Chauvin. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at 
the hall, with cremation to follow.

He is survived by his daughter, Patricia Ziegler Guillot; stepsons, Timmy, 
Duane and Ryan Picou and Kenneth Ortiz; stepdaughter, Jessie Lynn Picou Lyons; 
brothers, Joe and Edward Ziegler; sister, Lillian Marcus; five grandchildren; 
and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeannette Ziegler; parents, Sonthen and 
Emily Cousin Ziegler; and numerous brothers and sisters.

He served in the U.S. Army.

He enjoyed fishing and was owner of Zig-Zag Truck Body Repair of Jefferson.
