Doris Sergent						[Photo]

Doris Marie Jones Sergent, 51, a native of Raceland and resident of Houston, 
died Dec. 3, 2004.

A religious service was held at 11 a.m. today at Mount Zion Baptist Church in 
Raceland, with burial at Morning Star Baptist Church Cemetery in Raceland.

She is survived by her parents, the Rev. Charles and Rose Jones of Raceland; 
son, Tyler Evans Sergent of Houston; sisters and brother-in-law, Shelia and 
Ernest Jackson of Marrero, Angelia and Berniece Howard of Thibodaux; brothers 
and sisters-in-law, Benjamin and Ponice Howard of Arcadia, Gerrard and Denise 
Howard and Henry Howard, all of Kenner and Earl Howard of Washington D.C.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Earnest and Druzella Clay Smith 
and Charles and Viola Stripplen Jones.

Kennedy Funeral Home of Raceland was in charge of arrangements.
