Dorothy McKerall					[Photo]

Dorothy Toups McKerall, 86, a native of Waggaman and resident of Thibodaux, died 
Dec. 29, 2004.

Visitation will be 8:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Co-cathedral in 
Thibodaux. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday at 
the church, with burial at St. Joseph Cemetery.

She is survived by her sisters, Mildred Toups Marcello, Ruth Toups Monsour and 
Shirley Toups Authement. She was preceded in death by her husband, William 
Foster McKerall; parents, Maude Peltier Toups and L.M. Toups Sr.; brothers, 
Roland Toups and L.M. Toups Jr., and sisters, Estelle Toups Pitman, Myrtle Toups 
Ayo and Theresa Toups Toups.

She was a first lieutenant in the U.S. Army nursing corps and served as a 
teacher at St. Joseph Elementary and Raceland Elementary schools. She was a 
former member of the Daughter of American Revolution and active in nursing and 
retired teachers organization. She was also a member of the Catholic Daughters 
Association.

Landry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
