Egerald Nelson Sr.

Egerald A. Nelson Sr., 57, a native of New Orleans and resident of Marrero, died 
Dec. 18, 2004, at the V.A. Hospital in New Orleans from complications from a 
hernia.

A graveside service was held at 11 a.m. today at Port Hudson National Cemetery 
in Zachary.

He is survived by his wife, Theresa Ard; son, Egerald A. Nelson Jr.; stepfather, 
Robert Isaac; stepmother, Nercile Benjamin; sister, Lois Walker; and three 
grandchildren.

He served in the U.S. Army for five years and was a retired mechanic with the 
Department of Motor Vehicles.

Littlejohn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
