Orgeron Jr., 74, a native of Lockport and resident of Raceland, died Dec. 30, 2004. Visitation will be 8 to 11 a.m. Friday at St. Hilary of Poitiers Catholic Church in Mathews. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at the church, with burial in Holy Savior Cemetery in Lockport. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Marguerite Babin Orgeron; son, David Orgeron and wife, Kay Orgeron; daughters, Pauline Marcel and husband, Jerry Marcel, and Paula Loupe and husband, Kirt Loupe; brothers, Roland and Ernest Orgeron; sisters, Beulah Griffin and Eula Blanchard; and five grandchildren, Casey Schouest, David Orgeron Jr., Travis Orgeron and Trent and Lindsey Loupe. He was preceded in death by his parents, Esnair J. Orgeron Sr. and Lorida Thibodaux Orgeron; and brother, Eugene Orgeron. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and a parishioner of St. Hilary.
