Gladys Burgess

Gladys Detillier Burgess, 81, a native of Paradis and resident of 
Donaldsonville, died at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 2, 2004.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time today at Ourso Funeral Home in 
Donaldsonville. Mass will be at 1:30 p.m. today at the Ascension of Our Lord 
Catholic Church in Donaldsonville, with interment in the church mausoleum.

She is survived by five daughters, Laura B. Mollere of Thibodaux, Sylvia B. Ewen 
of Donaldsonville, Joyce Burgess of Donaldsonville Donna B. Landry of 
Donaldsonville and Glenda "LuLu" B. Rader of Lafayette; two sons, Sammy Burgess 
of Donaldsonville and Jimmy L. Burgess of Plaquemine; one sister, Margie D. 
Griffin of Donaldsonville; one brother, Roy Detillier of Houma; and numerous 
grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam F. Burgess; one daughter, Shirley 
B. Barrient; and three grandchildren, Samuel Jr., Mary Lee "P-Nut" Barrient and 
Stephen Mollere.

She was a homemaker.
