Visitation will be 6 to 10 p.m. today at Chauvin Funeral Home and 8:30 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Eloi Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with burial at the church cemetery. He is survived by his son, Thaddeus "T.J." J. DeHart of Houma; daughters, Rita Mae Cadiere of Houma, Beverly Ann DeHart Falgout of Bourg, Mary Lee Dehart Ojeda of Houma; stepdaughters, Diana Liner and Rosann Bourg of Dularge; sisters, Leola DeHart Lirette and Frances DeHart Liner of Theriot; 18 grandchildren; 19 great- grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sanders and Bridget Luke DeHart; son, Michael J. DeHart; grandchildren, Dale and Alena Falgout; brothers, Ernest and Virgis DeHart; and sisters, Ester DeHart Lovell and Enola DeHart Lirette. He was a retired boat captain from Macobar. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a former member of the Dularge Volunteer Fire Department and a parishioner of St. Eloi Catholic Church. Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
