Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. today at Rose Hill Baptist Church in Belle Rose. A wake and funeral service will be held at 8 p.m. today, and dismissal service at 11 a.m. Saturday, with burial at the church cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy W. Bell of Belle Rose; sons, Erwin and Gayland Bell of Belle Rose; daughters, Pamela Landry of Paincourtville, Diana Louis of LaPlace and Yolanda Bell of Donaldsonville; brothers, Wilbert Bell of Belle Rose and Felton Davis of Avondale; sisters, Joyce Florence of New Orleans, Verley Mae Phillips and Grace Vaughn of Donaldsonville; 21 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Deola and Freddie Bell Sr.; son, Irvin Bell Jr.; sisters, Alma Bernard, Rebecca Moore and Emma Bell; brothers, Freddie, James, Isiah and Alfred Bell; granddaughter, Leah Rebecca Robinson; and son-in- law, Gregory Gros. He was a retired laborer. Williams and Southall Funeral Home of Napoleonville is in charge of arrangements.
