Visitation will be 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Evening Star Baptist Church in Napoleonville. A religious service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial at the church cemetery. She is survived by her daughters, Brenda Bell of Donaldsonville and Evelyn Askins of Baton Rouge; sons, Henry and George Curtis of Donaldsonville, Raymond Curtis of Bertrandville, James Curtis of Baton Rouge, Brian Curtis of Belle Rose and Gary Curtis of Convent; sisters, Clara Mae Davis of Donaldsonville, Alice Curtis of Bertrandville, Elmon Lee Curtis of Los Angeles, Barbara Ann Curtis of Thibodaux and Eliska Wiggins of Napoleonville; brothers, Joseph Vel of Selena, Calif., Alvin Clark and Michael Curtis of Donaldsonville; and 27 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Clark; father, Freddie Bell; husband, George Askins; son, Michael Askins; daughters, Royce Ann and Jean Renee Askins and JoAnn Curtis; brothers, Joseph and Edward Curtis and Edmund Clark. She was a homemaker. Williams and Southall Funeral Home of Napoleonville is in charge of arrangements.
