Karen Griffith Giroir, 66, a native of Alvin, Texas, and resident of Houma, died 
at 8:42 p.m. Dec. 14, 2004.

Visitation will be 6 to 9 p.m. today and 8 to 10 a.m. Thursday at Chauvin 
Funeral Home. A religious service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the 
funeral home chapel, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.

She is survived by her husband, Dudley Giroir; mother, Ida Griffith; sons, David 
and Jason Giroir; daughters, Jan Breaux and Jennifer Giroir; brother, Claude 
"Fred" Griffith; and six grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Claude F. Griffith; and sister, Mary 
Gayle Griffith.

Her hobbies were reading, fishing, trawling, sewing and quilting. She was a 
member of many local organizations. She was patriotic and loved her country and 
loved Jesus Christ. She enjoyed flower gardening.

She was retired from Patterson Real Estate and was a member of Grace Bible 
Church.

Donations to the American Cancer Society are preferred.

Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
