Kate Marie Louise Landry Benoit, 83, a native of Labadieville and resident of 
Thibodaux, died at 8:55 a.m. Dec. 26, 2004.

Visitation will be 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Thibodaux Funeral Home and 8 to 11 
a.m. Friday at St. Genevieve Catholic Church in Thibodaux. A Mass of Christian 
burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at the church, with burial at St. 
Joseph Cemetery in Thibodaux.

She is survived by her sons, Elwood and Larry Benoit; daughters, Karen Stokes, 
Darlene Stevens and Charlotte Schulz; seven grandchildren; and five great-
grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lionel R. Benoit; parents, Sabin and 
Celima Fremin Landry; brother, Adam "Fan" Landry; and sisters, Noelie "Noonie" 
Chiasson, Edith Ackerman and Mary Ann Fields.

Landry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
