Laura Solet						[Photo]

Laura Mae Billiot Solet, 67, a native of Houma and resident of Dulac, died at 
7:20 p.m. Dec. 6, 2004.

Visitation will be 4 to 10 p.m. today at Falgout Funeral Home in Houma and 8 to 
11 a.m. Thursday at Holy Rosary Church in Houma. A Mass of Christian burial will 
be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church, with burial at St. Francis de 
Sales No. 2 Cemetery.

She is survived by her father, Evest Billiot of New Orleans; sons, Calvin Solet 
Sr. of Marrero, Danny Solet Sr., Ernest Solet, Archie Solet of Dulac, Maurice 
Solet Sr. of Delcambre and Dave Solet Jr.; daughter, Carolyn "Puney" Ponder of 
Smackover, Ark.; brothers, Ernest "Moonie" and James Roy Billiot, both of Dulac; 
sisters, Brunella Trosclair and Catherine Porche, both of Dulac; 21 
grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice James "Jimmy" Solet; mother, 
Mable Francis Billiot; son, Alcide Paul Solet; grandson, Jerry Paul Ponder; and 
great-grandson, Koen Solet.

Falgout Funeral Home of Houma is in charge of arrangements.
