Tastet, 87, a native of Lafourche Parish and resident of Raceland, died at 7:05 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 16, 2004. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Monday at St. Hilary Catholic Church in Raceland. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the church, with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery. He is survived by one son, Larry Tastet and wife, Jo Ann, of Raceland; two stepsons, Daniel Trahan Sr. and Michael Trahan Sr., both of Houma; one daughter, Linda Champagne of Raceland; five stepdaughters, Marietta Scott of Gretna, Trudy Breaux of Houma, Linda Pellegrin of Houma, Sharon Gaudet of Schriever and Jacquelin Dominique of Gheens; two brothers, Henry and Ronnie Tastet; two sisters, Nita Zeringue and Rita Boudreaux; four grandchildren; six great- grandchildren; and numerous step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Elda Guidry Tastet; his second wife, Etta Trahan Tastet; his parents, Anatole and Ceclia Boudreaux Tastet; four brothers, Clarence, Anatole Jr., Hubert and Oscar Tastet; and three sisters, Anna Mae Williams, Eleanor Ingrassia and Gladys Grabert. He was a U.S. World War II veteran and was a member of the V.F.W. and American Legion.
