Trahan, 82, a native of Terrebonne Parish and resident of Chauvin, died Dec. 24, 2004. Visitation will be 9 to 11 a.m. today at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chauvin. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. today at the church, with burial at St. Elie Cemetery. He is survived by his daughters, Sheryl Olivier Raily and Laura Swire; sisters, Amy T. Price and Allie T. Portier; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dulcie Lapeyrouse Trahan; parents, Alexander and Ozelia Pontiff Trahan; brothers, Wallace, George, Anatole, Wilson and Avison Trahan; and sisters, Annie T. Sevin, Odelia T. Toups and Mary T. Price. He was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Ward 7 VFW, American Legion and the Knights of Columbus. He was a church usher. Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
