Melvin Belanger					[Photo]

Melvin Patrick Belanger, 67, a native and resident of Houma, died at 7:20 a.m. 
Dec. 12, 2004.

Visitation will be 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Samart Funeral Home in Houma and 8 to 
11 a.m. Friday at Holy Rosary Church in Houma. A Mass of Christian burial will 
be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at the church, with burial at Magnolia Cemetery 
in Houma.

He is survived by his son, James Patrick Belanger; daughters, Tina Marie Stutts 
of Tacoma, Wash., Theresa Ann Belanger of Houma and Melissa Belanger Hebert of 
Kenner; brother, Lowrey Belanger Jr.; sisters, Lorena Blanchard, June Handon, 
Clara Brunet and Regina Williams; and one grandson.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Irene Eskind Belanger; and parents, Lowrey 
Ezra and Alice Pitre Belanger.

He was a parishioner of Holy Rosary Church. He served in the National Guard and 
the U.S. Air Force.

Samart Funeral Home of Houma is in charge of arrangements.
