Monica "Cat" R. Sims, 42, a native of New Orleans and resident of Gray, died 
Dec. 2, 2004.

Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Kennedy Funeral Home in Raceland and 
from 12:30 p.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday New Rising Sun Baptist Church in Houma. A 
religious service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the church, with burial at 
the Crescent Farm Cemetery In Houma.

She is survived by her husband, Samuel Sims Sr. of Gray; mother, Joyce Robertson 
Robinson of Gibson; son, Samuel Sims Jr. of Gray, daughters, Tanika and husband 
David Guidroz of Raceland and Lorraine M. Sims of Gray; brothers, Joseph B. 
Robinson IV, James D. Robinson, and Curtis R. Robinson, all of Gibson; sisters, 
Darlene R. Morgan of New Orleans, Charlene R. Woods of Gibson, and Jo Ann R. 
Short of Patterson; and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Robinson Jr.

She was a member of the choir at St. Mark Congregational Church located in 
Schriever.

Kennedy Funeral Home of Raceland is in charge of arrangements.
