Osben "Joe" Jones Jr., 73, a native and resident of Thibodaux, died Dec. 13, 
2004.

Visitation will be 8 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Calvary United Methodist Church in 
Thibodaux. A religious service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, 
with burial at the church cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Dolores Jones of Thibodaux; son, Osben Jones III; 
daughter, Stacy Jones Bell of Baton Rouge; brother, Zane Dalton Brown Sr. of 
Thibodaux; sisters, Jeanette Thompson, Audrey Coulon and Mable Jones, all of 
Thibodaux; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Osben Sr. and Annie Mae Brown Jones; 
son, Karl Micheal Jones; brothers, Russell Monroe Jones, Lawrence Brown, Welton 
Jones and Raymond Jones; sisters, Annie Mae Jones Thompson and Emma Jones.

He was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church and served on the trustee 
board. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.
